Coin shortage yet again.

People refuse to believe coins are short again. I don't know about you but I'm tired of being harassed about not having rolls of quarters in our tills. We get one roll a day and if we run out we have to ask for another. They removed these rolls from the tills because they can not afford all those people buying them. This is real people wake up and realize it. Sure you'll get your change back form your bill but we're also not your bank!

Employee's did not make it up the Government made it up and is holding the change. And companies are using this to force people to use a debit card and if you use cash you will get your change back on your Kroger Card I assume? That is complete Bull ****.

You get change back you should be able to spend it where you want. But Kroger gives it back on your Kroger card. Tear your cards  up and stop using them.

To add on: My store refuses to leave quarters in the tills because they can not afford every joe or karen coming in buying them. They will not leave more than they have to. This is pissing people off but fu**ck them.

This **** isn't a conspiracy theory people. It's real! This shi--t is why you can't get quarters for your laundry or the bus. Sure if you give cash you'll get coins back but we have limited coins. Once we're out we're out!

I USED to think the coin shortage was real....now I am not sure. Case in point, I went to a few different Krogers and noticed EVERY single coin dispenser was full or near full. This was at the Kroger's I checked out. How is it that ours and other stores isnt? They say its regional and everywhere but how do you explain the stores that have an abundance of change? Now I'm hearing that it's because they dont order change correctly? I mean how hard is it to order pennies nickels, dimes, and quarters? Your even asked the denominations of each coin during ordering?

Just associates pocketing the little bit of change from honest customers. Theyre scamming on every transaction probably earn enough to pay for Netflix or buy a pizza for their fat ass to eat.

A few months ago I spoke with a store mgr about this issue. She told me she and one of her assistants were making rounds at all the banks around here and GETTING cash and coins. That she was fed up with Kroger corp. telling her there was none to be found, and she had many customers highly upset over it.

This is the direction things in this world are going. The Super Rich and their bought and paid for governments want to remove all cash and coin currency and create a digital market. That way every transaction you'll ever do is recorded with your name and profile....and you will be subjected to a new form of identity invasion and taxation such as we've never seen. Think this sounds paranoid?

Watch. Wait. The sht show is about to commence.

Holy crap, I wish we had that kind of globohomo action going on around here.

Honestly, I'm just sick of handling cash.  And occasionally, literally sick from handling cash.  It's disgusting.

And coins are worse.  Every single penny and nickel for decades now has been produced at loss as a gift to the metals lobby.

And only the elderly, children, and homeless use them.

I hate all of them.

You won't do it, but it'd be interesting to see your follow up post re. when everything goes digital----and your simply buying a can of peas comes with your life bio. Every purchase you do from then on will be beneath 100% scrutiny and subject to extra taxations and fees.

This is the part you simpletons don't understand about the value of cash and coin: it's anonymous.

The above post is absolutely ridiculous, hateful, nasty nonsense.  If you really hate older people, children, and homeless,  I feel sorry for you. (Or were you referring to hating cash?????  And do you have germ-phobia?? )   You might have a major psychological problem of some sort, and need treatment to overcome your deep-seated anger issues.  But I assume you are just a troll with nothing better to do.

Gobs of people of all ages still use coins. You may think they are used only by certain segments of society, from your own experience as a cashier, but it varies a lot by neighborhood, area of the country, demographics.

I enjoy using change for purchases at yard sales and such.  Yard sales, garage sales, etc  are STILL immensely popular across the US, and especially in the spring, summer and early fall months.   Millions of people love going to them, and use gobs of coins as well as paper money.

Cash, including paper money and metal coins, has a rich, wonderful and varied history just here in the United States. Just ask any serious coin collector.   SO much history and background in the various types of coins and bills issued over the last 200-300 years time, even well before the US officially became a nation in 1776.

But you sound like you are WAY too short-sighted, stupid, very shallow and focused on your own short-term pleasures, satisfactions and entitlements to even think about anything outside your own little teeny tiny bubble of interest.  Sad!

If anon is saying he hates old people, (he'll get there one day, if not there already)  hates kids ( again, he was one at a certain point) and homeless (dont know why) then it's a sad life.

If he hates change and cash, then perhaps move to a different dept that does not deal with payments of any kind.

Keep the app out of your phone. Keep your phone out of the store. Use a random phone number or the number of someone nice as your loyalty card. Pay with exact change in cash. Wear a mask, wig, sunglasses.

Seems like too much trouble. Don't shop with crooks. You gotta eat but you do not have to shop here.

It's not reasonable to accuse wagies of national coin theft.

How much are you getting paid for your trolling?  It's so bad but so frequent it can't be real.  Or pay much.  Are they hiring?

****, when I troll here, I troll here for free.  But at least I can make a valid point.

Everything is already digital.  That's the entire purpose of the loyalty card; every single item in every single purchase is saved to an account.  Have you had any shady returns denied?  How about coupons in the mail?  Where does that come from?  If anything, we're incredibly lucky it's based off a customer-supplied unauthenticated number rather than an automatically collected payment card number (Target style).

Extra taxes depend on municipality.

Extra fees apply only if you don't use a loyalty card (and if the cashier doesn't just scan one because they are sick of arguing about "sale" prices).  You know, "You could have saved..."

Because without supplying a loyalty card, there's the severe risk of "saving" as much money by shopping at a competitor that doesn't bother with that.

Cash and coin is really only anonymous if it isn't associated with a correct loyalty card.

But mostly it's just a pain in the ass for everyone.

A valid point how? By showing every one here how stupid you are? You and the other anon have no life.

Bud, I'm going to have to ask you to take your trolling up a notch.

Loss prevention >>>COOMS<<< over busting employees.  Literally.  It makes them bust.  They get off on it.  That's why it's the only thing they do.

There's so many cameras over the checkstand that not even David Copperfield could make $.13 disappear.
