Busy AF Yesterday so no Clicklist done
Permalink

Yesterday they had me help out in floral the last half of my shift, which was fine. Gives me a break from that clicklist and my normal.duties. So anyway, last half of my shift I was helping floral put together simple displays in the backroom in an area given to floral temporarily. I kept getting called.up front for carts, and bagging because our evening courtesy was late or called out.  I kept ignoring them until manager came and pulled me away. He wasnt mad, and understood when said, "seems like they dont understand simple instruction as not to bother me." He grinned said "I understsnd." But had me go up anyway to keep them quiet. As soon as lines dies down I bolted back to where I was supposed to be and ignored most calls the remainder of my shift.

Then our clicklist phone that notifies us of an order decided to start up. I ignored that as well. Turned out a customer.came.for their order 5-6 HOURS LATE. They were scheduled for pick up between 9-10 am. The lead clicklist guy wanted me to deliver it to them because he was busy apparently. I told him I was in floral remainder of my shift. He had no choice but to do it himself st that time.

now my question is:

When we get a notification for a clicklist order and nobody accepts it, does the customer get a notification on his/her phone or computer saying the order was not done once it goes past the time limit to be picked and staged, or do they find out when they get there.?

I would think that they would get a notification that their order wasn't completed or started when it gets close to the time of pick up. But then again why didnt management schedule back up click list staff? If he didnt and you are the only one able to do it, then you STILL have to do it...EVEN IF you are scheduled elsewhere I'm guessing. I highly doubt you can "shut clicklist down for the day" unless you completely turn off the computer and power down the phones. Even if you powered down clicklist cell phones and scanners and powered down the computer, you would STILL get calls asking why the order wasnt filled. They would just call the store.

If you are still determined not to do clicklist just ignore the dings and chimes the phones do to get  your attention of a clicklist order.
