Been here for 2 weeks and they gotten rid of 2 cashier desk 14 and 15. They turned them into self checkouts. I'm a produce clerk but I also want to know if it's possible if I am able to transfer department or do I have to wait a certain time? I don't know how to look up my contract.

Not having access to your PAID FOR union info / rights is part of why today's unions are bullsht. I dealt with similar issues with the United Steel workers. And when you persue an issue they act like you being a ass hole.

Oh yea, your question. Get outa there early, don't waste your time with retail. It sucks on every level.

It depends on your personal relationship with management, and how they perceive you as an employee.

If you are a poor to average employee and management perceives you as such, whatever, sign here; I'm busy.

If you are a good to outstanding employee and management recognizes you as such, you are forever trapped in your position short of quitting or a transfer of management .  Because they can't afford to replace you.

Contracts are purposefully hard to find.

The store doesn't want you to know your rights, or else they can't make make up personal rules for you and just for you on the spot.

The union doesn't want you to know your rights, or else you might call them during banker's hours.

Put some applications out there.  You can work a computer or smart device in English enough to get here, and it's not like you can earn much less money.  By law.
