HAVEN FOR BUMS
Permalink

I'm in central Il. and the parking lots of 2 of the 3 stores in my town are havens for fkin bums. You know, those scum bags who absolutely will not get a job, quit drinking / smoking and are constantly on the prowl for free cash handouts to buy more beer and cigarettes.

Mostly they're just annoying-----'PLEEEEEASE, anything at all will help!' but some of them are growing bold and getting in people's faces. One guy I shot in his grill with some pepper mace (which I literally never leave my house without these days). Yeeeeea, he wasn't so macho after that. When you can't see or breathe all of a sudden, you cain't fight very good either.

Any of you, especially ccs having to gather carts, yall having to deal with these creeps?

CC collecting carts, he started getting close to a bum who was gonna cop the cart next to him. He told that cc youre not taking that cc said he ignore him. However the bum stood up pulled out his dick and pissed all over the cart. He then said while laughing go ahead and take it now

All of our tables and benches had to be removed from the front of the store due to tweakers/homeless/junkies camping out at them.

We can't put anything else there because it will just get stolen.

We have a lot of hobos in our store too. They'll "pretend" shop all day long and when closing comes we kick them out or request them to leave. So long as they don't start harassing customers or create issues or receive numerous complaints they are allowed to stay.

My eating area at my store got removed because we got tired of people camping at it all day long. We blocked it off yet people neglected the "closed" signs and used it anyways. My store ripped it out and replaced it with merchandise.

The benches outside were getting worn due to age and when they became hazards they refused to replace them due to the bums sleeping on them all night.

The odd thing is...I see more and more people with signs at the street corners now, more in the last two years than in the ENTIRE ten years before that...We had a girl in our parking lot playing the violin to raise money for her mother's medical bills not that long ago...And the prices of EVERYTHING keep going up...And you don't think there aren't gonna be more homeless or struggling people because of it??? Trust me, I see it everywhere now...Where it wasn't a thing before (or was hidden), it's out in the open now!

All I'm saying is...We SHOULDN'T be surprised! And yes, the situation is bound to get worse before it gets better...We don't take care of the least fortunate, hungry and/or mentally ill properly, so what do we expect will happen???

What do I expect?

I expect YOU to take care of all of threm from now on! We wanna see weekly progress reports: numbers of 'homeless' people, % you saw before doing this, %  of reduction by week, how much you gave them, and detailed reasons why it wasn't more.
