Kroger Covid Policy still 2 weeks?

So I'm feeling under the weather, bad enough that I had to leave my shift early tonight. I'm about to take a test, and I'll be taking another tomorrow morning before my shift. I asked my supervisor what I should do if either come back positive, and he said since I'm vaxxed I should get paid. He only said 5 days, though... I thought the policy was up to 2 weeks? Did it change? I can't find anything that says it did. I don't get sick often, but when I do, it hits me like a truck. I'm not sure if I'd be okay after only 5 days :/

cdc policy is 5 days off. You can carry it out longer with a dr note. You can return to work on day 6 but you must religiously mask and please wear one correctly. If you need to sneeze our cough or blow your nose please do not lower your mask and do the deed then raise it again.

Yeah of course, bugs the sh!t outta me that people do that when coughing or sneezing, that's what the mask is for! I forgot to mention that I wore my mask all day yesterday. Started feeling unwell before my shift but it was too soon to call off. Management always prefers that you try to stick out most of your shift instead of calling out so I masked and hand sanitized religiously. Gonna take a test this morning, still got a bit of a fever but we'll see. If it's negative I'll try to do my shift today and keep masking I guess.

OP here.

For whichever two people posted the last two replies: No one asked you. But since you decided to insert your useless two cents: It's not over, half of my store recently tested positive. Several people ended up in the ICU and nearly died. Just because you don't want to wear a mask anymore doesn't mean it's "magically disappeared". I don't want to hear your BS when people like you are putting myself and my coworkers at risk.

During my shift tonight I had a customer talking to me about how she was EXPOSED TO COVID, she's NOT VACCINATED, and she's walking around without a mask, getting groceries. Sh!t like this is what gets people sick, and I already feel sick. My test this morning was negative but I'm going to keep testing during the week. And unless or until I get a positive result, I've still got to come into work masked. I can't afford to stay home sick, but if I end up with Covid, you bet your ass I'm taking that paid leave.

By the way, if you're an employee but not vaccinated and you get Covid, you don't get paid leave anymore. Have fun losing your paychecks!

Thanks for the laughs! Needed that.
