Yup, store is still understaffed. And customers resumed to complaining. They are tired of this "store is understaffed"

Managers and customers drive employees away.

which will be SUCH a joke and completely unworthy of anyone's time or attention that it won't solve anything, and even exaccerbate the problem by mgment being able to say they '...tried, nobody wnats to work'.

Anyone who does get hired on will get sht hrs or be worked to death's door and/or just be down sized on Jan.2. It literally isn't worth the effort.

We've been understaffed the entire time I've worked here, sure, but now it's getting silly.

Abusive management, shockingly low pay, and part-time-only random schedules mean we can only hire children and the EBT/Section 8 crowd.  And not for long.

Shelves are empty and departments are closing early.

I like it.  It's going to be fun to see the blaming, coping, and new nonsense programs as profitability is impacted.

I got 6 new people in my department a month ago.  This is the worst group Kroger has ever hired for my department.  I asked the store managers to let them go after the first week.  They are no good.  4 are idiots.  2 are slackers.  I was told to coach them.

There is nothing I can say to them to fix their work habits or lack of common sense.  2 already quit.  Attendance should get rid of 2 others.  I am stuck with the last 2.

I am told that we are overstaffed for my department and not being productive enough.

I've worked in retail, inculding management, so I can relate to everything you say.

I now work in education and I see the future of our country in the kids I (try to) teach. We''ve got 1st graders who can't tie their shoes or wrrite their names or count past 10.

We've got 4th graders who can't add or subtract double digit numbers.

We've got a whole building with kids running all over, unsupervised and non re directed, all day long.

I've got only a few more years til retirement and I only hope I can hold on long enough. But I shudder at thinking what my old age will look like, dealing with the grown versions of these idiotic heathens we have now. no

To anyone who works at Kroger and asks on this forum   "Anyone else's store is still understaffed????"

May I reply............

"Is the sun still hot?"

"When the wind blows hard, do leaves on the trees usually move and flutter?"

"Do too many Hollywood female celebrities who "plump" their lips with Botox (or whatever it is)  start looking like their mouth area is creepily deformed??"

"Do most gasoline-powered Ford and Chevy automobiles have engines under the hood?"

The answer is YES!   ALL Kroger stores have been understaffed for YEARS ON END, at least since 2014.   End of story.   Thank you.

My car runs on the tears of Kroger Management and the husks of old QueVision screens.

Speaking of Quevision, the Zebra has been asking me questions about the "3 F's".

"Fast" is not one of them.  Not anymore.  In fact, it's incorrect.  Quevision is still up though.  Are CCG's still a thing?  Probably?

It's astounding how Kroger just stacks new programs on top of old ones.

If anything, it's downright impressive to see how incompetent and out of touch corporate really is.

Why hasn't Boost Mobile served up a "cease and desist" already?

Why aren't our Telzon guns at the bottom of a river in Guandong Province already?

I wish I could make six or seven figures to sit on my yacht and copycat Walmart poorly.  ****.

Our store is very understaffed, they open the seafood counter at different times everyday, I worked until 2 pm the other day and it still wasn't opened. Too many lazy people, the shelves are empty and the stock is in the wrong place, everyone wants money, but nobody wants to work for it and do as little as possible. Very few people take pride in doing a good job anymore.

As long as these guys know they're there to actually work. I WILL NOT pick up THEIR slack. Sure, if they are not lazy I can help out, but if they "need help" getting their carts (do their cart hour) for them, then I'm NOT sorry, you can get carts by yourself.

I dont mind sounding like that, but its true.

Kroger is rolling out SCO's with conveyor belts.

And is testing out stores with SCO only.

Honestly, I'm just worried about shareholder needs.

Have you even thought about Rodney and what he's going through?

What doesn't make sense is that we are understaffed yet we keep cutting hours

Makes great sense to H.O. and the share holders. That plan-demic taught all these super rich corporations how easily they could get by without all that pay roll expense....plus how much profit they've been making since.

Just gonna keep getting worse, too. Here's why:

* As said above; money saved is money made

* In spite of the greatest inflation of cost in decades, consumer spending has similarly spiked. Why? Because the plan-demic trained us like dogs to panic shop. ---That's all part of why every time you turn around the news is grinding out more horror / end of the world stories.

This will all continue until there's a massive revolution....only there prolly won't be, and you can see that, watching they way they're going after Trump and everyone who has ever associated with or supported him. I don't even like the guy, but it's creepy as SH!T watching their scorched earth tactics.

We have been and will continue to be owned by the super rich. Laugh at me if you want; doesn't make it any less true.

The Left are afraid of Trump.  So they're doing everything they can to try find something anything that they can use against him to keep him from running.  So far they haven't had any luck.  It's all been speculation and wordplay in the mainstream Liberal media.  You really have to listen to what they say.  If it's not a direct statement such as, "The sun is hot." then it's speculation and inuendo.  Watch out for words like could, might, suggests, believes etc.

Kroger is also acting like nothing is wrong. They've decreased our store hrs by about 25%. This is a health insurance job so I don't give two shi-t-s about it. If I have to I'll reduce this to 20 hrs a week and get a second p.t. job like i have done before in the past.
