Store Reset and Remodel
Permalink

First of all there are about 30 container trailers in the parking lot. They did a reset took out Starbucks and now are doing the restrooms. The men's restroom is closed. There is a sign on the women's restroom door to lock behind you. That means for now the women's restroom is unisex. I know that lock employees will go in and lock themself in the restroom just to get away.

(I would if I still worked there. biggrinbiggrin) The door was unlocked Saturday and the restroom was really nasty. Yesterday it was locked and I had to pee so before I got in my car. I peed right in the parking lot. biggrin biggrin.

Did anyone else loose Starbucks?

Peeing/exposing your vagina in public can lead to arrest for public exposure, which can result in you being on the national sex offenders registry, for life! Google it.

They know how to mess with people, don't they? Are there other markets near by? No? If Kroger gets a local monopoly everybody finds out about the company character. How they like to treat people. Sick animals.

Starbucks may be sensibly rethinking their association with the K. If a Starbucks is in a Kroger market that Starbucks will be staffed with Kroger employees. Serious liability and public relations issues can result. I've seen it.

I do not have a vagina because I am a male. Also, no one saw me. I was standing in my door with my door blocking me. And this was on the side of the building where I usually park. What else was I supposed to do? I had to go real bad.

When Starbucks first came to that store. The Employees were Starbucks employees. Then they were Kroger employees. And before they closed and left they were Starbucks employees.

I know one girl who worked at Kroger over 15 years. She went to Starbucks and I am not sure if they kelp her as a Kroger employee to keep her seniority or not.

I really enjoyed the restroom situation during the remodel.

It was so filthy it was disturbing, it was externally contracted outside the store, it was mostly closed, and it absolutely baffled lazy shoplifters.

Pillsmoking wasn't a thing that year, though.

Pills are cheaper than malt liquor.

Cheaper than trash vodka.

I'm starting to feel like smoking pills might actually be financially responsible.

I asked myself, "What would Rodney do?"

Turns out I can't afford any amount of cocaine or one single Cambodian child prostitute.

Was in there yesterday. They started with the women's. And haven't even completed with the mens. No stalls up just toilets open no privacy. Typical Kroger people doing half assed job.

Oh, and yes, I was asked if I wanted to come back. I was told there is a hiring event today. Who does these events? HR person is off EVERY Thursday.

Why do you still shop there?

I don't get i386 either.

He probably worked here, so he should know better than anyone.

But, his demands for service border on troll-like.

Contractors are externally contracted.  Low-bidder unless someone has a nephew.  Much like our prices (unless you shop at Winco or Walmart).

"Kroger people" actually do less than a half-ass job.  Every time.  Much less.  As is reflected in pay and hours.  Like he doesn't know.

i386 might have decades of experience, so he could probably pull at least a dollar over minimum wage.  Maybe even two if he is related to management.  Part time only though.  Why doesn't he apply again and show us how it's done?  I'm sure Rodney would notice and appreciate.

The one part I agree with him about is >>>RAGE<<< at an individual member of salaried management being off one single day a week.  One day, the same day, every week?  Please.

Its against the law to do any such thing. Hopefully some one or a camera saw you and reported it to police.

Because where I live there is not much choice. Really Walmart I only go when I need non grocery items and grocery. I do not go much because it seems you have to walk a mile across the store to get to grocery department. For me Kroger is just easy and also the small stores like Piggly Wiggly are good but don't have everything.

I am not going to apply because I will not make any money. Living 15 miles out driving everyday then paying for gas will take all I make. So, what's the point? BTW I worked Kroger for 25 years. I retired in 2019 sometimes I wish I would have stayed 30 years, but I am glad I got out when I did. I might not have made it through COVID-19 and especially this deal with Kroger payroll being fouled up. Yes, I was just a utility clerk so what? I did my job and I was not going to let anyone talk down to be just because I was a utility clerk, and it was going that way there was just no respect anymore. I am disabled and did work part time on my 25th when I got my prize the Manager called me up to his office to hand me the package. Most of the other long-time employees the packages were handed out in a huddle. I felt very disrespected.

What do you call it then when both sexes use the same restroom? BTW I mean not at the same time and my name is not Tom and not a mental trans.

All of our employee restrooms are single occupant.  The ones in the breakroom are designated by sex.  The only difference is the men's has both a toilet and a urinal.  Personally I wish it had just a toilet because the people in the breakroom can hear it flush.  So they know you just took a dump.

I have not seen a single occupant restroom since we were in the old store. And that store originally opened as a M&M Supermarket. Single occupant was up front 2 one for men one for women. Back restrooms behind the meat department were 2 full restrooms.

As far as the store remodel. I was in there yesterday and the restroom was the same as last time. No work was done.

Also the Kroger app still has not been updated since the reset. But there was a girl walking around asking customers if they needed help finding things.

About time Kroger hired someone to do that. Now they just need to update the app on where items are located.
