How do you check the order limit on clicklist/pickup?

I heard that you can check thr order capacity on clicklist/pickup and put a cap on how many orders you can get in a day. I am clicklist/picklist backup and we have an overabundance of orders every damn day with NO help or resources to do it all. I know how to do the refunds, print extra receipt copies, prep-lists (to give to deposit like bakery, floral, meat and seafood so they can get orders prepped in their depts if needed) I just don't know how to pit a cap on our orders. I want to put a cap on orders until at least we get caught up. I would cap off at 40-50 orders (with ADEQUATE) help only. On super busy days where we are extremely shorthanded, I would cap off at 15-20.

How do you access that area on the computer in order to do so?

You can't throttle or cap orders at store level. From what I understand, it can only be done at district level,  and I believe only with the district manager's authorization.

Store management has no control over the order cap for picklist nor do they know how to put a cap on it. Even if they did, they wouldn't dare tell us because

A) Corporate/DM WILL have a b1tch fit and tear management to pieces for putting a cap despite their being no help.

B) The store will loose money

C) see A and B

The only thing you can do is do the best you can and send a text to the customer explaining their order will be later than anticipated due to short staffing. If enough customers complain then corporate MIGHT approve more help for that dept.

Reach out to your OM and see what can be done.
