Is Kroger deliberately trying to get people to quit?

The already have an outside company , Snowfruit, doing all the cut up fruit trays for produce.  They're bringing in another company to make Boar's Head sandwiches and Grab n' Go in the deli.  I've heard that some outside company will be ordering stuff for floral.  On top of all that, they're cutting the hours and raising the standards.  We haven't had a closer in the bakery for a couple years.  Now, they want everyone to work a night until 9:00 PM doing all the cleaning that a closer usually does.  Only problem is stuff doesn't get made and put out to sell because the person who would have done that is stuck on cleaning duty.  Yes, the department does need to be cleaned every day, but they need to hire somebody to do that.  You can't have it both ways.  Everyone is ready to quit.  So it makes me wonder if it's all being done on purpose.  If the situation arises, I think I'm going to ask somebody from corporate and see what they say.

I would love to see a whole department quit. They won't.

Look, bud.

You need to consider the needs of the shareholders.

Profits need to go up sufficiently this quarter.  That's it.

That's all there is.

Cry to the union.

Cry while you're on hold.

Cry into voicemail.

Cry.  Cry.  Cry.

Or make two or three times as much money at Amazon.  To start.

Anyone at corporate would just deny or claim it's to "streamline the process". Even pharmacies are starting to just ship in prescriptions that are being filled in central fulfillment centers. It's getting crazy how much they are outsourcing things.
