Our store leaders have high turn over/change over and not one of them could write a decent schedule. I am so grateful our lead says what schedule would you like and we can work that. If not I'd be filing a union grievance because they hired in a new person and my hours tanked from full time to <20 hrs a week. I am the one that has the most seniority. I few few if at all restrictions so why is our new guy getting more hours than me? (full time)? Our new hires has a ton of heavy restrictions and logically they shouldn't be exceeding 35 hrs a week. This company sucks.
In our union book it is a violation to hire in people then reduce working staffing hours. The highest seniority individual has most hour pick and that would be me. I have no problem filing a union grievance over full time reduction to <20. While I welcome the break I also have bills to pay and push comes to shove I'll go else where. And if that else where turns into a promising venture bye bye kroger.
