I was recently hired at a local Dillons (Kroger family) as an "EAS Greeter". Job description is very vague in regards to whether it is an actual Loss Prevention department assignment and, being as I'm interested in continuing my career in LP, I'm wondering what all it entails. I don't attend orientation for 5 more days, so honestly I'm getting a little anxious to begin and find out. However, in the meantime, I have continued offers from other companies more specifically aimed at my goals. I don't want to shun the Kroger position, as if it is indeed apart of LP, or a way to work with them, it would be of a lot of value to me. But if I'm just going to be standing at the door welcoming people, I will get bored quite quickly.
Is there anyone more familiar with the position and/or it's relation to LP positions? Any help is appreciated. If it helps, my store is located in central Kansas and, as noted earlier, it's a Dillons grocery store.
