Our lead was way out of line the day of the walk before the current holiday (Easter) and management just took a blind eye to it. Even though they saw the whole damn thing. I'm calling out after our lead was such an a$$ hole to us. We don't deserve this treatment. We use to like him but now that he's been here a few months his true colors of how he treats people is beginning to show. And no one likes it! Our lead just got his first ethics report filed on his @$$ and our manager is just as much fault as he did nothing to desecrate it! We don't deserve to be treated like this. To the point of total verbal assault while on the clock. Both in the back room and on the customer floor. No! Every one of us wrote statements and gave them to our manager to file an official complaint against him. Lead still thinks he did nothing wrong. No you don't treat your staff like sh--it and heavily disrespect them or you won't have any staff if you're not careful. I'll give the union another month or so to fix things then I'll consider a store transfer. (This is my main job for insurance. I've been job hunting for something else. Means I'll have to accept a 10-15% pay cut but if this is the work environment kroger bestows on its employees then I'm out.)
