Kroger must have a Grand Re-Opening going on somewhere all the time. It wouldn't be so pathetic if it was an actual re-opening. Leaving the store open the entire time during the remodel and then opening up one morning after the store has been closed overnight like normal and calling it a Grand Re-Opening is not a Grand Re-Opening. Re-opening a store after being closed for several weeks or months due to a fire or storm is a Grand Re-Opening. There are people whose only jobs are going around to different Krogers getting them set for the next Grand Re-Opening. I've been through so many of these things in my 35 years that I've lost count. I'd say it's more than a half dozen but fewer than ten. Each time all those people do is get in the way, put out too much product, and spend half the time talking to each other.
This time, however, it's the store down the road and not mine. Where I live the Krogers are like two miles apart from each other. Apparently this store currently doesn't have a baker. Someone actually had to transfer bakery products from my store to that store so they would have it for Grand Re-Opening. That's pretty sad.
