Those United Healthcare cards people are using

If you have their health insurance, they issue you with a card that has a set amount on it. I am not sure but I think it is around $100. Those people are a PITA to deal with and don't understand why their cards won't cover ALL their groceries. Do you have those cards coming thru your stores too?

It's more than just United. Aethna an Blue Cross have them too. The price they load just depends on who they get it from. I've seen up to $175 on a card through Aethna. Most of the people that are getting them have medicare that they are deferring to by a regional provider's "Advantage" plan. Just tell them that they also have the new Food Stamp card restrictions (no soda, candy, ect.) when buying food. Some of the cards are really nice and let you buy gas or pay bills with it too. The people can be a pain since it's something they have to learn to plan around. The majority will get use to using them - probably.

Or instead of using food stamps, get a job and pay for your own stuff.

It seems in the Local 1996 area Atlanta GA where I am United Healthcare seems more prevelant. I have seem some Blue Cross and maybe one or two Aetna.
