Just curious if anyone else has had trouble getting Divert bins for their store. Weve been going on a month now without them, even though we are ordering them. Weve had to get really creative with our waste, too. So, if you guys are dealing with this, a. what have you been doing with your waste and b. what are you being told about why this is happening???
Ive heard some of it may be due to too many broken bins and not enough replacements, but what are you hearing?

What do you mean, "creative with our waste"? If you don't have a divert bin, throw it in the dumpster. That's what you did before, wasn't it?
For those of you with small back rooms, prep rooms, etc. and third party companies like Sno Fruit cutting up a lot of in-store product every day, as well as dairy, bakery, etc. using the Divert bins daily and constant accumulation of bad, outdated and scrap products, where are you finding room to store it all?
I might add that weve had a broken compactor for a minute that apparently takes forever to get a part for and the dumpster replacements fill up very quickly to the point no more can fit in them. And the trash pile keeps adding up in the meantime!
Add to that
Good luck trying to get a dumpster or a compactor repair on a Sunday or a holiday!
And now, weve heard that it may be quite a while before the Divert bins come back!
We used to have a green bin for organic waste, but thats been gone a long time.
Simply put, Divert has a very good idea, but a very POOR implementation!
Maybe if they are having so much trouble with broken bins, either a. use stronger materials or b. MAKE MORE BINS to handle the influx!
