So I saw a news report about Kroger cutting 1000 jobs at corporate and closing stores because of the self-inflicted wound trying to buy Albertsons. Lazy and half hearted solution. Kroger could save more money, jobs, and stores if they just cut the executive and management bonuses they really did not earn from the hard work of associates working in the stores. Next give up on the fake unrealistic wait times at the registers. How many times did I see numbers on the screen over 100 and very few or no customers in line. The front end manager is useless when it comes to her schedule so many times they call side help up to bag and run registers only to stand around with no customers. Guess Kroger uses the magical hat from Hogwarts for their metrics. Kroger needs to get a clue. Cutting hours or not using hours efficiently does not maximize customer service. Kroger is not a service company it is a retailer. We sell merchandise to customers. Get rid of the stupid side help crap that only wastes the time of associates in other departments. Let us do our jobs that we were hired for to maximize sales and customer service in our departments. Kroger is run by dumbasses who only seem to care about them selves(salaries, bonuses, etc.). The overpaid desk jockey's need to get out of the corporate offices to see how things should be done.
