Kroger is the worst company in the world. Not only in terms of how unethical it is, but also in terms of how dysfunctional it is. My boss at Kroger was a horrible person, and on her death bed she will regret the cruelty she inflicted on me and others. However, I understand that she was under pressure from people above her. Corporate does not communicate with store level except to make vague demands and threats.
Does it make sense that Kroger pays so little and treats their employees so poorly that they can hardly retain anyone that gives a ****? Well, your corporate overlords believe you're inferior because you don't have a comfy office job like them. They would rather lose it all than let you have a shred of dignity. You can sacrifice everything in your life for this company and they'll spit on you and expect you to be grateful for the opportunity.

Its definitely just a bull**** throw away job. Its good for just going there and having g low standards and not giving a f just get a pay check for as long as you can and be lazy and do the bare minimum till they notice and get rid of you. You can even steal a little too. Place is trash.
