Ihad worked for kroger from 2001- dec 2015. I had taken a break and needed to run my fiance home so i could have the car.i was in such a hurry that i totally forgot to clock it. Before I had left for the day i had told the assistant manager what had happened. she had told me dont worry about it and it she would hav...
It's really frustrating for us deli employees to be constantly ragged on about hygiene(hair, handwashing, gloves) when all we seem to see is meat clerks walking around the sales floor wearing their blood soaked white coats, and handling product with full bushy uncovered beards. Not to mention mo...
When I was hired by Kroger (Fred Meyer) WA state. I was told that I would be getting part time 20. I asked about pay raises they were very vague on this subject. 1. Wages: .05 an hour raise after 1066 hours at twenty hours a week, thats a joke if you ask me! found this out months after I had been working there. 2...
So, I just started with the Kroger 401k plan. I just saw they updated my account with my contributions from the first week. The one question I have is, when does the company match? My account strictly shows my contributions, no employer contributions. According to the information I have, it shoul...
Every five minutes an employee tries to make me join the union, and I've said several times I don't want to and feel I dont make enough to even consider it since I need to save money. How should I handle this?
So, I have been sick off and on for months and have had to go threw an array of different meds that occassionally cause new symptoms or worsen what I alreafy had. Every time I have had to call in due to this, I have given an advance notice (at least a day) as well as provided doctor's notes. Most managers ha...
By now I have both created and administrated my own web pages as well as stepped in as moderator for other people's pages. For the most part i'm no longer involved with any of that because it's too time consuming, although I did get some interesting and funny insights from people........and that leads...
I was told by another employee that she had the pleasure(seemed like she enjoyed the fact that she was there to overhear the conversation) of hearing all the managers complain about all the floor supervisors. They said they felt they had to babysit a certain one of us, then I was told that it was said tha...
how do you go from full time status to part time when you were hired as a full time employee after 8 years I understand the 8 weeks of 40 hours but one strike and your out the president even gives you more than that
So far, I've accumulated eighty-hours (two weeks) of vacation time and one eight hour personal day after putting in five years at Kroger. I find it a little peculiar that I only had to work one year to get a week's vacation, and then, three years to get another week, but now I have to work another five year...
Do they spam you urging you to vote for Hillary or Bernie? I sent them a long email back telling them just what I thought. Then I asked them why they still mail me crap 14 months after I quit Kroger. The union sucks. Like they can tell me how to vote? Or think I need their help deciding? My husband's uni...
I started going to Church this past December after Christmas and joined the local Church and never miss a service. I met a Lady at Church and screwed up big time with her, I talked to her one time and scared the **** out of her and she will not speak to me and moved completely to the other side of the church to...
I have complained to numerous members of mgmt about deli employees, including the dept head not properly covering their hair. It's not only gross but a serious health code violation yet no one seems to care! I myself have gotten a vegie tray with a hair in it! Will never order another! But why does no one...
I will hopefully be starting my training in the office soon (my main supervisor said so) but how will I know for sure when it will be? Will it mention training on my schedule? And how long after I get trained will I get an over ride card??
Can someone give a brief description on how Elms works? I work in Night Grocery. I know Dairy, Grocery and Frozen share hours. I am trying to figure out how I am supposed to get the work done without going past the hours scheduled. For instance, the biggest truck is Monday morning. Recently a 27.5 hou...
What is the reason behind cashiers and baggers not being allowed to have bottles of water on the front end? We always could have water before but no more. And will the union do something about it.
I'm sick but still came to work and tried to make it through the day. I was on lunch break. I got up to clock in. Sat back down to take my medicine and ended up falling back asleep/ Manager sent me home and said we will talk about it later. Will they fire me?
