I was scheduled from 10-4:45 today. A family emergency came up around 3:30 and I had to leave. Will I still get paid for that last hour & 15 minutes or will I only get paid for what I worked?
We are undergoing a minor remodel/KCSD set starting next week. We are not a Boars Head store, but the locals have advocated for it for a while. Question is, what does it take to become one? I know next to nothing about Deli/Bakery. Is it mainly reserved for upscale areas? We have a diverse consumer...
Tired of the situation and unfair labor practice or standard for the markets. It has come down to this. I have been with kroger about 2 weeks shy of 25 years. All in the meat department. The last ten years has been the worse as far as the help situation, at least in the Dallas Area. One learns to deal with it a...
I will be starting a new job soon and only want to be available on the weekends at Kroger. However, I'm not interested in working full shifts all the time.. I know it may be different according to the different areas, but does anyone know of a minimum number of hours you "have" to work? I've onl...
Is there a way to increase the order for a certain aisle using CAO or Citrix? I thought I heard someone mention it before but not sure. Like, if we want the condiment aisle to be 95% full, just enter one screen and everything will order itself to keep the aisle 95% full?
Well...........this isn't really about Willy Wonka, or a factory-----but there IS chocolate involved. Sorta. This is a mass appeal to anyone and everyone working for Kroger who is responsible for bath room cleanliness. What I just experienced at the Kroger I normally shop at was disgusting on lev...
Will I be put on the no re hire list? Obviously, I don't plan on working for the company again but in case of financial emergency I may have to. I'm planning on possibly quitting at the end of my shift tonight. I have another job i currently work that is more hours and money but I have no way of knowing if it wil...
So I won't reiterate much of what I said in the past, but I will say that being on the bottom of the totem pole at Kroger basically forces you to look for a supplementary income. When the supplementary income greatly exceeds how much you make from what is supposed to be your main income (Kroger), it is no l...
From April to December, my availability has changed from what days I need off (April - MWF, August-December, TR) but the consistent thing has been 11pm is the absolute latest. I did it to get the hell of self-checkout because the overnight person is one of the worst people I've ever met and customers af...
My orientation is today & I am super nervous! It's my first time working in a grocery store. I thought working in a bakery/deli would be easy since I'm in one area most of the time & don't mind all the cleaning. Any thoughts, tips, or advice??
does anyone else have this issue? i keep asking the schedule writer to look at my availability and she tells me to give it to her again. i write it for her every week and she keeps violating it and using the excuse that she is really forgetful. i have talked to the manager of my area and the store manager and h...
A friend and I both work in produce, but were going to a convention in a few weeks, so we have to take the whole weekend off. Now all of a sudden another person in our department wants most of that weekend off too, despite our putting our requests in months ago. We both have seniority, but is there anything t...
Hey I just finished my first year at Kroger I'm in the Mid South division my pay has already topped out at $7.50 an hour the most I can make in that position, which I just now found out by the way,so my question is do I at least qualify for a paid vacation sense I been here for a full year?
We just changed recently to this whole new cad program, No aisle assignments, run pallets straight off the truck in two man teams, In theory it may sound faster, but in application it's not, here's what will happen, theres no accountability now, because every aisle is done by everyone, so you just gav...
i believe an employee is eating ice cream out of the freezer. I found spoons and empty wrappers and half empty ice cream tubs laying under a pallet. I also founo Klondike bars under there. What should I do if I thinks it's an employee? Should I report this to a manager or local law enforcement officer? How...
I'm in the Louisville division (Local 227), my first year anniversary was just last month about the same time as the new contract was passed. Up to this point I had no idea that there were even union raises, I just thought every six months I get 10 cents added to my rate. When do you get the union raises (as a...
does anyone else find working in the fuel center to be so ****ty? the customers seem to be extremely rude and i hate being trapped in that box. it's such a ****show down there
I am a Front End Clerk. I was hired on September 7, 2014. I was looking at HR Express under Salary/Wage Rate Information and I have several questions: 1. My Current job Step is 100 with my Next Job Step listed as 500. What does this mean? 2. Accrued Credited Quantity is 8.00 and Quantity Remaining is 18. Wh...
