So our store has been down three people for the past three damn months! The longer this continues we more irritated we get due to being down a staff member. They all went out for various reasons all randomly around the same damn time. The manager isn't staffing their areas and they're just vacant since t...
Our schedule has been frozen in time since the beginning of 2024 and has been a hard ship on the store. Sales adjust through the year and the schedule writer was just copy and pasting it. She managed to piss off all her coworkers by f'n up the schedule repeatedly, constant issues of shaving off employee h...
Some confusion made us file some stuff against the store. It is confirmed from the union that they can not punish you for a third party service failing the secret shop program. They also can not fire you over the secret shop program as it is a third party vendor. Do not sign any thing they put in front of yo...
I've worked for 11 years, spent my life working for this company. Worked my way up from just being a parcel at $7.25 an hour. 11 years later and now I'm an assistant. My store leader retires soon. But on the way my manager has taken every opportunity to throw me under the bus. While faking a caring attitude...
One sure way to piss off your store is to become the schedule writer and piss everyone off by giving them horrid schedules. Our store's schedule has been frozen in time for almost 1.5 years now and it is not conducive to retail adjusting for sales or growth. Personal schedules change and evolve over tim...
From customers being karens throwing a 2 yr old tantrum to staff. From employees not being well educated and this is probably the best job they'll ever have but their quality of work is hit or miss depending on the individual. From managers being toxic and generating crabby stories against or for you...
yesterday i was working in the pharmacy and i wanted some marked down halloween candy so i grabbed some and brought it back to the pharmacy manager came after me and asked if i'd paid for it and i told her no she said 'that's shopping on the clock; thats termination. go put it back' i assume it was just a warn...
For 2 years we've been dealing with his lazy a$$ and we're all sick of him: not pulling his weight, plays disappearing acts, struggles to even to the primary functions of his job, quality of work reflects that, so scatter brained nothing gets done efficiently if at all. Since I've stopped covering his...
I work with 2 in my department that have ghost quit and it's super frustrating. It should not take checks from the office to make sure staff is working to get write ups. It should not take 2 yrs to fire someone who practices this because of union protection. Our floral lead has pretty much given up on her d...
Use your best judgement when voting but I highly urge people to vote no on the contract. Just because they reach a tentative agreement does not mean it is a good contract. I heard they're only giving us a $2 pay raise each year and it's not keeping up with inflation. Despite some additional language in th...
Have you ever rung up a bunch of items and then walked off and left them because the machine kept saying to scan the item before placing it in the bag even though you had? I did today. If it does it more than once, the attendant has to come fix it. I've always said one of these days I'm just walk off and leave it....
Many have reported issues with their schedules being modified left and right with little to no notice of the change. My union rep confirmed that this is a grievance. Due to the fact they can not use the schedule to reprimand you in such a manner. Coupled with the fact it says right in the contract they mus...
The past 3 years has been a game changer for both the company and how they perceive their employees. I decided this company was not for me and it be time for change. All the harassment I've endured from my manager the past year, ethics only slapping him on the wrist with a write up and things still unchang...
Hello, it has come to my attention lately that some stores (such as large home improvement stores) have been more and more lenient lately on allowing their customers to come in and shop with their dogs on leashes. And, just within the last month or two, I have seen several customers come into the Kroge...
Kroger must have a Grand Re-Opening going on somewhere all the time. It wouldn't be so pathetic if it was an actual re-opening. Leaving the store open the entire time during the remodel and then opening up one morning after the store has been closed overnight like normal and calling it a Grand Re-Openi...
Here's a cool idea to stick it to Kroger for cutting hours in stores leaving them short staffed. Everyone just don't spend your Kroger paycheck at Kroger. They will still make money from regular customers. They can afford to fire or lay anyone off since their profits and bonuses depend on customer...
