I just stumbled upon this forum googling "how to quit kroger job", so here I am. Don't know the typical forum etiquette here or if this is even where I should post, sorry. I've only been working at Kroger for almost a month. I was already thinking the gig was a no go because the HR lady that was supposed to in...
I work for Giant Food in the northeast. I am the only full timer left on night crew. The night lead makes 4 bucks less than me, has no benefits and is part time. Turnover is near 100%. I'm just wondering what working fir a union shop is like. .
Just like to say your welcome. Thanks to pristine customers such as myself my big spending contributed to your tiny paychecks this holiday year!! Hopefully your tiny check can get you some cheese loaf or even a can of spam for your Xmas dinner this year!! So cheers to another new year of tiny paychecks....
One of our co managers left several weeks ago. I heard since they are considered salaried employees, the total number of hours they are working would equate to less than minimum wage. (OK say you work 60 hours a week, your salary is X, divide that up and you get an aprox hourly rate.) One I know left due to a...
Think of all the people you know who have came and left, how many of them leave and come back or tell you they truly regret leaving? We have a few who come back, but at the end of the day it is a minimum wage job and one that's demanding. What percentage of people do you think regret leaving? I'd put it at 20%...
I asked today to see the schedule. I was told they will no longer be posted in the store You have to look online. Is this the whole company? Someone said its to save on paper. I am going to buy a pack of paper out of sarcasm and put it on the managers desk with a note. Here is some paper now print the schedule.
The new printed schedule came out today and I did get my time off. The anon schedule writer said seniority would be a factor. I think that was the case here as I'm one of the top courtesy clerks.
So I'm Being threaten to have full time taken away for having a part time job at target. Store manager claims its against kroger rules (allegedly). I told him he doesn't have the right to tell me what to do in my personal life nor pays my Bills. I'm always on time, never missed a day and always finish my wor...
when i first started in the pharmacy, it would be busy but not like it became then kroger cut pharmacist hours, then it got extremely busy, then our store, a high-volume narcotics store, made some changes to the schedule, work flow and to electronic prescriptions (wasn't sure if this was company-wid...
I've been sick the last few days, I had to call in sick today. Are we allowed to wear those surgical masks that just cover the mouth and nose? It may be a dumb question but I'd rather ask here than a manager first so they don't think I'm a retard.
OK here is the situation. We have two sets of doors in our store, one is the main entrance and the other a set of doors near our produce area. Atlanta division Loss Prevention has for the past year instructed us to close the Produce doors at 9PM (it used to be 10PM.) Also they have told us once the doors are lo...
