A while back I mentioned that our store was a green store as opposed to a red or yellow store. That meant we only had to take inventory in the deli and bakery once a quarter rather than every period. Well, it turns out the last inventory was so bad in the whole division that they're making the green stores...
I always resort to passive aggression, because one, I don't like being in conflicts, and two, I'm afraid of losing my job for something like that. And it always happens when I least expect it. Like a customer asks for something in a nice voice, I try to help them in a nice way, and then boom, suddenly I'm be...
Since my injury earlier this month I've been back and forth with doctors, the workman's comp folks, etc. and I remain confused. I gave my 2 weeks notice the same day as my injury and I had 3 days on my regular schedule during the time I was off on medical leave. Today, I received a stack of papers from the wo...
A customer recognized me while I was shopping around, during my day off, and out of uniform. They asked me "excuse me, you work here right? Where can I find blah blah blah?"
I want to start one of these forums. I want one that for support. All I ever see on here is negative remarks. No one can say anything nice, positive or supportive. We are all employees of of Kroger Ralph's etc.. Where ever you go you're going to have to deal with something you don't like. So why not have some...

I have been with Kroger over 4 years, and even though I asked during my hiring interview about experience pay, I was refused it.,but now I know I shouldn't have been because I have tons of years of experience pay, and others who have come in after me were given experience pay. I want to ask for it because it...
How does the transfer process work from a kroger grocery store to a kroger fuel station? My lead had me write how I wish to be transferred to store # and my explanation for it. This info came from my Grocery manager. Then my request is given to my store manager from my lead. Is this how it's supposed to g...
I sometimes get put into this situation lately cause it's been quite busy the past couple weeks since labor day. Like my shift would end at 9pm (store closes at midnight), and my supervisor has always said to shutdown the Uscan, and then they can go to the other lanes. I usually try to start the process 15...
We got a new girl yesterday. I will say she learns fast, but don't let her know that. She let's it get to her head. She good with customer service, but the minute you tell her she's training she gets an attitude. Uh! It's your first day. "You are in training. You are on a 90 day probation. You can be fired for a...
When I started working for Kroger, (in July of this year) my job total was supposed to be for an overnight stocker. I recently logged onto expresshr, and it says that I'm an overnight/clerk or something to this effect. Our store closes at 11pm, so why is it saying this is my job description? Also, doe...
Luckily a supervisor was available to handle this situation involving a difficult customer of mine. But how would you handle this situation if a supervisor or a manager was not available? This is what happened last Sunday. This incident happened while it was busy, and there were several customers...
Okay, so I had my manager observe me I'm not quite sure if it was only me but I am pretty sure it had something to do with a customers comment. Anyone else know why observations come in I've been working at Kroger for a year now and I only smile they want me smile like I'm the joker and I can't do that sorry. ?
I finally left FM/Kroger in June due to severe lower back pain. I "trained" as many customers as possible before I left -- like asking them to kindly leave their 12-pack of Pepsi in the cart with the UPC up. Most people are oblivious to putting heavy items on the belt, thinking they are somehow helping us...
