I am soon to start in a Order Selector position for Kroger. Is there any few tips or helpful information someone can give me regarding this jobs. I want to be more than well prepared for this job. Thx.
I just started a job as courtesy clerk. My training consists of bunch of vidoes and quiezzes. Did anyone else have to do this? How many hours did it take to watch all of them. Is it OK if I take more than one day to watch all the training videos? My boss said I had to finish them as soon as possible
I recently became the most senior employee on the front end (aside from our accountant, but he gets his 40 hours a week there so it doesn't really matter). There's 5 or 6 other full-timers in my department, the rest are part-time. How does all this factor into scheduling? There used to be an employee who...
Hi all, I'm a new employee at Fred Meyer. I received a letter from HR through another coworker about a hiring step that I need to complete. The first step is to "login to KnowMe and navigate to Onboarding under the Home menu." I've never heard of KnowMe and have failed to find it online. Is this...
Wal-Mart has born the brunt of social advocates for years, but Kroger hasn't. Why??? I really, REALLY thought that Kroger would be the better company before I joined... and was sorely disappointed. If you are looking to get out of Kroger but fear the big yellow smiley, or have just applied at Kroger an...
If I decide to work at Kroger will they meet my current pay rate (9.00/hour) or will they start me out on their base pay? I have worked there once before and was at minimum wage during my stint.
Hey, i am a new courtesy clerk at kroger recently got hired. I have finished my orientation and computer training and was assigned to go to my kroger store the following day. I went and got to meet the manager and a few workers. My manager asked me what are my availabilities for this coming up week. I told h...
I'm on vacation next week, it posted on the schedule for then. Problem is my vacation pay hasn't been deposited to my bank. Has the timing been changed? Will I receive it next week?
Hi all, My job apparently called up my parents, because my step father is working in the Realestate department, and was apparently going to fire me because I'm working 'too slow'. I'm not sure what goes along the lines of being a slow worker, because, despite the fact that I haven't been properly trai...
Alot of associates at my store have been put on a list to go to cashier training I spoke to my mgr 3 times about why I can't after it was brought up by other mgt then I see my name on the list I can't physicaly due to a medical issue can they still make you go?
so my manager said everyone at front end and in the store has to wear these ugly ass YELLOW aprons. Why not red/green or white? and why the hell does front end need it? Also we have to *SHARE* the aprons. how is kroger so effing cheap???
I have recently heard that our department manager is being forced to schedule everyone in our department nights because someone made a complaint about people not working nights. I don't understand how that is possible because the person that made the complaint is in another department, which has...
This has never happened before, and I've never seen other cashiers have a 9hr shift. Is this a glitch with eschedule? I'm supposed to start fuel training soon, but there is no asterisk next to the shift, which there is when I am given a u-scan shift. Obviously I'll ask if being scheduled for a 9hr shift is...
We'll be allowing chip-and-signature cards in our store starting next week. These are the cards you insert at the bottom of the card reader and hold for a few seconds while it processes payment. Any of y'all have experiences with these already? Any potential problems? I've heard something about how...
So I just recently completed my orientation for Ralph's, and I'm pretty sure I'm scheduled to start next week. The problem is, the orientation was in a different store than the one I will be working at, and I did not get to learn much at the orientation itself anyways. I'm assuming on my first day I'll hav...
I've been a Frozen Dept Head for 2 years now. I'm so tired of hearing the manager say " Can't sell from an empty wagon" I know the story behind it. I'm just getting tired of them saying it, cutting hours, and dealing with problems after they happen rather then before and getting prepared. Now m...
I'm still in training for courtesy clerk. Do I still clcok out and does it matter when since its not a real shift. For an example I did training from 10am to finish some videos. The manager left early and he said don't stay later than 6:30. Was it OK for me to clock out at 5:10ish. Am I going to get in trouble fo...
