Hello, I have been with Kroger almost 6 months. While talking to a coworker who had vacation time, I was asked if I had any. I laughed and said no because I have only been with the company 6 months. She then told me that when she got hired a couple years back in October, they gave her one week vacation time tha...
I went into my local Kroger today to get a few items and when I got home I checked my receipt to make sure I got the sale price on an item. I normally do this before I leave the store, but today I didn't. Anyway, I didn't use my Kroger card. The cashier never asked for it and I didn't use it. Nobody's fault re...
Nearing 1yr with the store. Will my vacation be paid? I had one coworker say he's never heard of vacations (even for first year) being without pay, but another one said vacations are unpaid until 2yrs. No pay for a week would suck, but if I do get paid, how would they determine payment for the week since I'...

I am a part time cashier. When I was hired, I was told I would probably have no problem getting close to 30 hours a week. Most weeks my schedule averages between 12-18 hrs. I've asked the FEM and the Sup that does the schedule if I could get more hours. And still nothing changes. Most of my fellow cashi...
I used to get paid times in a half for holidays WHICH IS NORMAL! And this past Labor Day I only got paid $1 extra.... I called the union and apparently I'm on a new contract that agreed with the settlement... I don't ever recall accepting the offer or it being brought up to me. I paid so much for the union to on...
Hi all, So I recently got my schedule, and I just shook my head. Almost every week, my availability is entirely ignored to the point where I'm just thinking of leaving 30 minutes/an hour early. They continuously schedule me during classes, and this process has gone on for at least 4-5 weeks. I've talk...

I noticed in our local Kroger ad they have "Candy Crush Cookies" on sale in the bakery department. They're just the regular candy cookies we've always had. Can't Kroger ever come up with an original idea rather than try to take advantage of someone else's?
So there's a new (from what I've heard, national, though at least district-wide) policy here, the front office people just got briefed on it today, it'll be streaming down to cashiers, baggers, and other store employees soon enough if not already. It's called "I Can Make It Right", an ext...
I started my first day of training for the night shift. The first thing that I did was stood with everyone after clocking in like being directed to after orientation. Least of my surprise the co manager that day was having a bad day. It was basically my first day on the job where I got bitched at for being t...

Do I have any say as to where I get placed, will they offer the placement and I chose to accept or decline thus not promoted if I decline, or do I not even have that option and they just tell me where I'm going and if I don't like it the only option i...
