Do they actually read this?
(Preview)
We have a volunteer sign up sheet to work Thanksgiving. Some people signed up (including me) and put down a specific time frame they can work. I chose a 9am-1pm. A few didn't even sign up. My question is this: Does management read the roster or is it just for "show?" Someone told me they schedule people t...

Kroger: Please stop putting people with lack of social skills in management or lead positions.

This happened to my department and due to the lack of their social skills the department can't keep staff. They are quitting like flies. There should be 8 of us in the department but only 2 of them are long term with out any signs of going any where any time soon. I'm beginning to realize they will not train...

KR vacation pay vs regular vacation
(Preview)
Hey, so I was paid twice for my vacation. One was a regular vacation pay (much like my last and the amount paid adds up so I know this is my real check) and then I was paid a random check for alot more and it says KR vacation pay instead? Anyone know what the KR means? Waiting to hear back from management.

Tired of seniors getting self entitled and playing on the "I'm old damit."
(Preview)
I'm sorry but when did age entitle you to this b.s? I got out of cashiering because this was one of the many things I got sick of dealing with. My three elderly individuals I nursed through old age to death did this attitude and i have ZERO respect for this attitude! To my regulars: Please stop using you...

Grand openings are so stupid
(Preview)
Grand re-openings are even dumber. A grand re-opening should only occur after there's been a fire, a flood, or some other natural disaster that forces a store to close. Yet we're having another grand re-opening on Thursday and the store has been open the entire time. I've been through at least fiv...

Considering new employment with buyout = uncertainty.
(Preview)
I highly suggest fellow coworkers to start considering their possible future with kroger. Kroger has severed well "most of us" so-so well enough to the point where we have decided to stay for what ever reason. Be we like the job or complain up a storm online about how we hate it. With uncertainty in the...

Worth it being a frozen lead?
(Preview)
Our last lead was getting tired of the job before he got fired but it didn't seem like it was that hard. I was thinking about doing it when our current lead gets tired of it (which was his first week) because I'd like to see what it's like running a department

Muslims and Kroger
(Preview)
Can someone set me straight on this? Hadith 119 says whites go to paradise. Black people go to hell. That being said, why do I see Muslims doing their prayer thing outside and on the side of the grocery store, away from public view during their break...who are black? I just so happen to be walking aro...

Does anyone speed walk pass them just to avoid them? I'm glad I'm not a cashier.
