Im considering trying to get into a backup position in the future. What would I need to do to put myself in a good position to get it? Im well informed on using cao and am the only person outside of the grocery manager who follows the process, scans my own backstock, runs it daily, lows and holes etc and orde...
Spousal coverage they said. Well the $9 happened but not spousal coverage. Anyone know what the qualifications are for spousal coverage? I'm a FT employee what am I missing? -- Edited by BigEyedFish on Wednesday 1st of November 2017 05:13:19 PM
How late have you been scheduled to work in the deli bakery? I just ask because I've seen my schedule for the week of Thanksgiving and the only saving grace is that I don't have to work the holiday. HOWEVER, all week I'm closing. But not just your standard 2 to 10 p.m. I have 3 days of 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Don't get...
Or is it better to just stay a cashier? I see people who are on the service desk occasionally run the floor from time to time. Strangely enough, during my time here, I've seen about 2 people who came in as cashiers, and then after a month they were on the service desk and running the floor. Then a month later...
I had minor surgery and will be out for a couple weeks. Received doctors not saying I could not come back to work for 5-7 days. Note says I am restricted for a couple weeks. I gave note to HR and then I was given Kroger leave of absence number. I called and explained. They said it could take 20-24 days to proce...
I am asking this question as a cashier because it seems that the Kroger location I work at I work for wants highly satisfied customers, yet the training the front-end employees at the location I work for, which management above store management came up with, is not getting the results they want. The fr...
Today I was cursed out by a woman because I didn't put the dam cans straight in her flat... Never in 20 years have I been treated so terrible by a customer .
When it comes to the survey and you answer these questions, what comes to mind? 1: I have seen positive changes being made as a result of the associate? 2: Management at Kroger considers the well-being of associates when making important decisions? 3: There is a clear link between my job performance a...
Does anyone else have a problem getting paid the night premium on their vacation pay. year after year I have to go to management to get it fixed, its getting old.
An elderly lady comes through my Uscan, doesn't read the sign that the machine can't take cash. I cash her out at the station, and give her her change. I didn't have quarters to give out, so I give her her 90 cents in dimes. I know it was 90 cents exactly, cause I counted them 3 times, even out loud so she could...
The make it right program is honoring customers by allowing us freedom to give them they price they say it is. The book keeper keeps getting me i. so I received two CAs for leaving early and not punching out for a break. The next day I find out I was being spied Im by coworkers and purposefully being paged on a headset I forgot to put on(instead of pagoing me on the intercom) to see if I complied with orders. I was told from now on I must punch for breaks,...

I am a Utility Clerk and take my job VERY seriously. I am good at my job and complete my tasks on time. However what is wrong with just doing my job and going home? I do NOT want to chit chat with every person that walks in the store. I am NOT a "chatty Cathy" or a "Talky Tommy" by ANY means UNLESS I know you. Even...
A few months back we were down to only two working pallet jacks and one power jack in the whole store. Both straddle jacks were fine. This went on for nearly a month...and freaking vendors always had them. Fast forward to a few weeks back a couple new hand jacks come in and they fixed the wheels on the two br...
