Im full time and work overnight grocery. Problem number one, according our contract, if we are required to stay over, we are not required to later cut that time to avoid OT, however, management will constantly have people stay to finish the truck or condition, etc and then freak out at the end of the we...
i have a question my managers can't or won't answer. When the case per aisle sheet says an aisle should take 4 hours to work does that include the time it takes to scan repack and stack the back stock?
So once more I've been hit with the "Wanna use your brain?" Type questioning today from one of the Front End, somebody or others' that clearly have something to do with filling the File Clerk position. To which, like it was the first time, seeming to be coming out of left field as I never even mentioned wa...
Hello,I have read and posted on this board anonmously for several years but just recently signed up as a member. I didn't realize until now about one of the GOOD things about being a registered member of the forum. I was used to the default setting (posting as 'anonymous') so you could only see the threa...
So I requested online to be off on the day before and the day of a Holiday and I made sure to it in advance so that I did not affect the business. However today my front end manager said he cannot accept it because its a holiday and apparently our management is making their employees work. He basically said I...
Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice on a suspension pending I just received. Yesterday I left for my 30 minute break, but forgot to clock out (and was 5 minutes late walking back in). A few minutes after coming back in, I was called into the office and accused of stealing food that they saw me walk out wit...
A lifer told me something strange, while we were talking about our thanksgiving schedules. She told me that you get paid during the holiday even if you don't work. Not time and a half, but regular pay. I was like whaaaat, that doesn't make sense. So now I'm asking you guys. Is that true?
Hey, new hire here. So my official "start" date was 11/14/17. I've never had a weekly paid job before (It's always been biweekly), and I'm a bit confused as to where my paid hours for Orientation are going to show up, and when would be the best time to enroll in Direct Deposit. Firstly, orientation. Li...
Does the SCO cashier have to work a late shift..or is that cashier not required to since they are the SCO. Also , as the question relates to highest Seniority cashier.
when did the union let Kroger get rid of full time status one. I am in the cincinnati/Dayton region and just learned that in the first of the new year 2018 full time status one is gone for good. I cannot believe the union would let this happen. People will only get full time status three now. I will be so glad...
The results from several surveys that were taken were printed and posted near the time clock at the location I work at. These are the surveys that are at the bottom of your receipt. A customer of mine stated that I was courteous, and the bagger who was at my register was helpful. But the reason why the cust...
So I start orientation tomorrow and I still don't know what my wage is going to be. When the hiring manager spoke with me/did the drug test she said she'd let me know when she sent the reminder email, but it wasn't on it. Additionally, the hiring manager really rubs me the wrong way. When telling me she'd...
Fun times working during the holidays am I right... Both receiving areas are packed full, grocery with pallet after pallet of Thanksgiving, Drug side packed with more promo candy distribution and clicklist carts always parked in the way and empty milk crates from dairy. Overnight grocery hogging...
I thought I had heard it all, but no. A customer had been calling the store for a week asking about trees. She comes in yesterday to buy a tree and said she wanted a discount because the trees didn't come in when she wanted them to.
I just quit working at Kroger and am back on the job-hunting wagon. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a phone number for corporate HR so they can confirm my employment. Google has failed me, as has searching the forum here. Does anyone happen to have it on hand or know how to get it? I was treated qui...
Its a Pain when we are on 2 week scheduling and we cant keep people that long anymore... People quit left and right or wont show up. I wish Kroger would go back to 1 week it would make our lives much easier.
