I've read so many posts on here of people's bad experiences working for kroger. I'm not enjoying my job lately. What has been your experience working for other retailers? Better or worse? I'm thinking of getting a job somewhere else. I'm not happy here & don't think I ever will be. at the end of the d...
From how I read the MOA, everyone will move to the new wage schedule on June 18th, I've been at Kroger a year and was getting paid $7.40, according to the new schedule, I should be getting paid $10, but me and everyone I know who was below $9 an hr are all getting paid the same $9 an hour, I know one coworker has...
A whole flock of cashiers quit recently leaving me the most senior. I have only been there about two years but there's an extremely fast turnover in the front end at my store. Any little tricks or perks I can get away with with my newfound seniority?
I know this is one of the perks kroger tries to push on customers to get them to come work for us. I saw a similar post at taco bell. First of all, minimum wage is hardly "competitive" and secondly why are they looking for great people to work when they don't have the hours to give out?
One of my managers jokes around and says all she learned about shoplifiting she learned in our store. The latest tactic is to take a bunch of stuff into one of the handicap bathrooms, stuff everything into your purse or backpack, leave a few items in the brown carryout in the bathroom and leave the store...
I believe if Kroger drop mandatory drug test for new hirees, they might be able to attract better potential employees as I read a lot on this board how Kroger having trouble hiring good workers. I know a lot of people in service industry that do smoke doobie on their time off, and they are very productiv...

Another obnoxious ad just started here a few days ago (this is a Louisville division store). It starts off with an extremely LOUD whistle of three notes. (Must have taken a long time to write that masterpiece of musical ingenuity!!!! ) Then, a much more quiet voice saying something about a brand...
So I posted a while ago about our store finally posting 1 full time Deli Clerk position(to which I, and many others signed as well). Welp, long story short, heard from my DH(AFTER, he asked if I had signed it or not), that they were going to pick 4 people. Once again, based off seniority. And if that is the c...
I was wondering how long should it take one person to break down 14+ skids in produce? I like to add the backroom/cooler is a bit clustered with product. Thanks for your time.
Have Like a customer made you want to take it outside. I resent customers who get aggressive with me because I am at work andbwgind register and for some reason I actually want my job. I wanted to go find a price of you know what after my shift and let em have it,but I let it go mainly cuz there was...
When you're at work customers come first! Who doesn't get this? I'm standing there taking care of 5 customers, while one team member is frying chicken, another is on break and the fourth is on the floor chatting with coworkers. They look right at me seeing me serving these customers and don't budge. I h...
I was told last week that I am being trained for the Lead. I have been doing what I was trained to do so far, but have had no more training. I know there's more to the Lead position than making sure temp logs are done, outdated items, mark downs, organizing the coolers, and the weekly clean up. 3 people came t...
I have a customer who is just a total a****ole to me. I can be s polite as could be to her and be professional as possible and she b***hes through every step of the conversation. Moans about every detail. Chews me out to the mangers each time she comes through about the tiniest detail. Last time I aske...
I work in back of 733. Heard a loud, metallic, percussive boom this afternoon. Looked up front and saw smokey mushroom looking cloud. Belt on lane 10 was snapped and rolled up, compressor oil all over the place. Scared the hell out of the customers. Boom was heard by all in store. Lucky lane was closed at...
Six hours, actually, one-fourth of one day of the year, scheduled just before the Associate Insights Survey. After the One-Fourth of One Day of "Listening" to associates, management can go back to 364 3/4 Days of Ignoring.
