I was checking my paystub and noticed that there was a new category under "Other Deduction" called "ACH SVGS 1." Usually I just have my union dues. I would have made about $130-140$ this past week but when I checked my bank account only $75 went in. When I went back to check my paystub, I realized whatever...
work for Fred Meyer and for the life of me can't remember what the 5 S's are.... anyone know what they are? I know the 4C's and the 3 A's but can't remember the 5S's
Hey guys, Attached is my resignation letter from back in October. I'll tell you this: NEVER be afraid to bail on them, no 2 week notice, if they treat you like garbage. You have more leverage than you think. I left without a notice, without a warning. Guess what? The company hired me right back and I'm cur...
I have had customers asking me to sell the individual bottles and or cans of beer that you use to make your own 6 pack of beer, and when I tell them that I cannot do that, they complain. Either they tell me there are too many rules regarding that or they want to speak to a manager because they do not want to pay t...
I haven't had a chance to talk to anybody about this yet. I was told today that part-timers who average 25 hours/week are eligible for insirance. This sounds the same as before, but they acted as if its new. Did they shorten the waiting period or something?
Just like my subject line suggest does anybody know how to do that accurately? I've heard different things again from people at my store and I just want to verify which is correct. 1st way-You count 7 days from the date something goes out and it's that date 2nd way- Count 7 days but you subtract one, cause...
I am just wondering if other Kroger stores treat there night grocery crew like we get treated. In the union the don't seem to do anything except take our money. I have been with the company for almost a year & in that year all I have heard is how much a worthless worker I am. That no matter how much we do it...
I was pushed into hanging tags almost 4 years ago, and have been trying to get off since. I work grocery overnight and hang tags twice a week. When I managed to gain the balls to demand an answer as to why im not off tags yet, the grocery manager said it was because Im not doing a good job of hanging tags, so wh...
so i got a write up for not utilizing safety measures while on the job. last year i tripped on something and ****ed up my foot this year (in jan) my arm got snatched on a bag rack thing that was broken all to hell and has parts sticking out, had to get stitches. but they just now gave me a write up for both of thos...
Guys, it's been a long time since I've posted here. Being back at Kroger as, once again, a freight boss, I figured I'd stop by again and chat with you all. I went back. I needed employment, I needed good money, and I took a job as a freight crew lead. I know what you're all thinking, and I am honestly surprise...
The front end supervisorsupervisors including the assistant customer service manager pretend like their job is so hard. Especially when it comes to giving people breaks. they're constantly scheduling cart shifts when an employee is supposed to go on their break (minors must go at a certain time....
Hello, I've been working in the frozen department of my store for about 5 months now. The other day I had a "meeting" with one of my managers saying that I'm too slow. I work hard, dont really talk to anyone, focus on my work. Not really sure what I'm doing wrong, but if I dont improve, they're gonna put me on...
Someone told me working here would help me get over my public speaking and social anxiety but i swear i think its made it worse. I was ok with greeting people but now that I know about secret shoppers its made it worse. Like I feel more paranoid so it actually makes me want to avoid people. It doesn't help e...
I work at Fred Meyer (my first job). Who do I give my two weeks notice to?? My department manager? HR? Also, do I just need to tell him I'll be gone after a certain date or do I need to write a letter? Thanks
No, In Store Audio Network, we did not in fact get a life threatening metabolic disorder to have an excuse for stabbing ourselves several times a day to obtain samples for our new fun One Touch blood glucose meter. No, a zippy xylophone tune does not lift our mood when contemplating our possible impend...
So sometimes when I'm on break or I'm doing a little shopping before I go home, customers come up to me and ask for my help. I don't know of it's obvious to them if I'm off, or they choose to ignore it. I usually have my phone in my hand , and have a few items already picked out. Anyways, they'll come up to me and a...
