Well... I enjoy overtime! On my own terms. Store manager is expecting the night crew to complete putting the trucks away and then conditioning the grocery section, before we leave. I understand this, but she is known to chant about reducing overtime. So... do we stay over or leave on time? Friday we le...
At our store there is an EXTREMELY difficult-to-understand ad (relating to the pharmacy) that airs randomly over the intercom system............I can't be sure if it is a "local' ad just for our store, or district, or it is part of the feed from the In-Store Audio Network to all Kroger stores. It is...
I only ask, but I don't know what's been in the "water" lately. But it seems at my store lately it's a battle between day shift and night shift in the bakery at times. I mean I get that the bakers are the first ones to see the dept. when they come in at midnight and will formulate their opinions about stuff. An...
Boy! talk about a waste of time and product. Morning: Pull the leftover artisan bread from the bread wall and slice it. Put it in a 3-tier basket. Pull the bread that's in the basket from the day before and scan it out. Nothing gets marked down. Bake 2 loaves of each artisan bread and put them on the bread...
We had 4 people to stock and condition the entire store, one of those is the grocery manager who can only stock like half of what everyone else can because they obviously have other things that have to be done. I work in a small to medium store, so each person has to do three aisles, with the new system, that...
Why does Kroger Promote a Cashier to Supervisor the week after the get hired? Whos in Charge when two Supervisors are in Duty at one time? Its like a Pissing Contest.
It hasn't been rolled out in our store yet, but after some discussion with our operations Co manager I believe I have a good handle on how to set minimums, what I've been doing is setting everything to have a minimum day supply of about two days, some things are surge purchased on Friday and Saturday so fo...
I just transfered to another kroger to become full time. I am a meat processor. I used to be a part time meat clerk at my old store working 28 hours. Now I work a full 40 hours. I was wondering is it possible to work at my old store on my days off for 2 days a week ? 16 hours it would be. 2 8 hour shifts. So basically w...
One of the cashiers does payroll and orientation she told me that one day she simply asked/told management that she wanted to start doing payroll. (She didn't say anything about orientation.) She then told me that they might need someone to come in during the week and look at attendance (currently o...
Hi. In the handbook it says that associates are not allowed to check themselves out when buying something. I was wondering if associates are allowed to use u-scan or a self checkout lane?

But honestly when can't find the calculator and the customer is in a rush. I was just wondering if there is a PLU # I could put i...
