I took my vacation week last week (Aug 30 through Sep 05) and while checking my hours on my pay stub I noticed I was only being paid for 21 hours. At one point last week (maybe Tues or Wed) I checked my schedule on greatpeople.me and it had said I was getting just over 5 hours per day, it was some weird number l...
Kroger let us have one free with an employee discount card at our store. Was this promotion everywhere? If so, what flavor did you try? I'm wondering what flavor I should get.
I really hope you can view this video. This happened a little over a year ago and I've recently seen the lady in the store again so I'm waiting for part 2. For context, the man and woman did not put a spacer bar between their orders. Just a small gap that the cashier didn't notice and started to scan the seco...
I observed this while waiting in line at the service center: A lady bought our entire supply of a particular brand of energy drinks that were on sale. Then after completing the transaction, she walks over to service center to get a rain check because we were "out of energy drinks". I'm not su...
And take it across two weeks, for payroll purposes, are vacation hours broken down into 7 days or 5 days? I know you get the whole week off but is it 5 days of "pay" plus 2 days "off" or is it 7 days of "pay"? if that makes any sense. Because my vacation week got split (which i...
I was recently scheduled on two days outside of my availability despite the fact that I have had this availability since March. I informed my Payroll/Backup CSM that I already had plans and was not coming in on the day that was outside my availibility. The following day I receive a call from my CSM askin...
Tonight I was actually off at 11:45, but naturally every ghetto moron comes shopping at this time. There is no manager on the floor, though I was told there is *supposed to be* a night manager. Naturally the other cashier got off at 11:30 when it was dead as can be, and every front desk person was off at thi...
I have a concern When I got hired I got hired as a marketplace cashier. A coworker of mine with three more months seniority is not classified as a marketplace cashier rather than a front end/clerk. Someone else who has a year more seniority is a front end/clerk. Others who got hired below me are classifi...
I love the ones where people complain about sale items not being in stock...I want to respond by saying "well lady, the reason it's out of stock is because it's on sale for $X and we've sold out of all we have and the warehouse has ran out because they've been drained by the stores! It's not our store...
Summer vacation is nearing its end and with that, a major percentage of the Kroger workforce is about to limit/restrict their hours/days as kids return to school/college. This is going to compound and already bad situation as despite having numerous "City Wide" hiring events over the s...
I'm from the Cincy/Dayton division, and I gotta go to the Tri-county office for management training this week. Does anyone know what you're supposed to wear? I figured it wouldn't matter, but my boss said to wear my uniform. Also, if anyone else has been through it, what should I expect? How much do I ac...
Anybody work for Mid Atlantic have a visable tat? i interviewed for Store Administrative Assistant today & i have a cat tattoo behind my ear. I didn't notice tattoos in this store but I can't find a handbook copy online to check what it says. Manager probably didn't see it bc my hair was down but wou...
Hey everyone, I am fairly new to the Kroger family (just a little over 3 months now) and I was chosen from my department to be on the cultural council committee. I would love to hear your ideas to boost morale. Thanks in advance!
This sounds like a lost cause, but is there any way to make working as a courtesy clerk less monotonous? I just started working for Kroger about a month ago, and of course, the managers instantly disliked me. Now, I'm a generally optimistic person, but working here has crushed my spirit after only a mon...
A bagger below me is getting 40 hours/week when she's only considered part-time. She's the ONLY one on the whole front end getting that many hours. So, I talked to someone at work about this and they told me that my best bet would be to file a grievance. How do I go about filing one?
