There was one manager or co-manager from each store (not sure if it was just the district or the whole division), all the coordinators, and a bunch of Cincinnati big wigs. There had to have been at least 50 or more of them. They broke off into groups and went around from department to department. Luc...
i'm a few months in on floor supervision or fez for short i keep the Que above 85 almost every time i'm there. on Wednesday i go a 90 on one plus one and Que but they took me upstairs today to talk to the head manager because i'm too slow on the check lane as a cashier. plus they scolded me for not training our 5 m...
What would happen if I put my availability on eSchedule to "unavailable" for all days of the week, and then check the box that says permanent? I'm trying to find a way to quit, and yes I know it would be easier to tell management, but this seems like the easiest and fastest way personally. I ha...
I'm not sure who to report this to but I think this must be said... I waited about 2 hours to be interviewed (which is not the problem.) So they send us upstairs (they split us into groups and took 10 of us up every half hour or so.) Then take four of us into a different room depending on what store we applied...
Hi, everyone. I just got hired as a courtesy clerk on Monday. My first day was Thursday and my Orientation is Tuesday. I live in Central GA and I was hired by the ATL Division. I finished part one of my computer training, and now I have to finish part two next week. I won't be put on the floor until I finish it....
Does the company have a standard operating procedure for partial/missed punches? If so, does it involve deleting the data from Kronos after noting it on a piece of paper?
So, I just started working at Kroger, and I'm a cashier. I was told that I would be paid every friday. However, the only two paychecks I've received are from my training, and from my first week. My first week's check was a week late; the only reason I knew what was going on was because my store manager calle...
In my years I've noticed that the truly great sale items have dwindled (used to have 10 for $10 shells and cheese, 64 ounce apple juice, 8 oz blocks of cheese, half gallon OJ etc). I get that the cost has increased but those sort of awesome sale prices would bring in customers! We do occasionally see 10 f...
I've worked for Kroger for almost ten years now. I've made out orders in the past and edited on the heavy days when forcasts take on a life of there own. My grocery manager and his back up must not be able to edit the forcast or refuse to because they or either lazy or want the extra product. In there defense t...
We used to have a pretty decent Cultural Council (once a monthish meeting with one person from each department), it used to be an hour where we talked about inter-departmental issues, and possible solutions (e.g. "Night crew is having ... problem, and Grocery could help out by ...", or &q...
Recently, we had a guy in our Produce team quit. He was the overnight cleaner, working usually 2-8 in the mornings. Now that he's gone my GM basically flat out said I was taking over the position. It directly goes against my availability, which recently changed from being open to not being able to come i...
Can an employee choose someone to take over their position for them or does management just fill the position? I recently got my CDL and I am leaving Produce, but I know a Courtesy Clerk who deserves a promotion. I feel bad for him because he is basically managements' bitch. They'll have him doing floor...
Are employees allowed to load the digital coupons to our Kroger Cards? I just learned about digital coupons yesterday and I have been looking to see if employees are prohibited from using them but I haven't been able to find anything. I also haven't found anything that says we are allowed so I just want...
I'm a minor. I know I'm not allowed to operate the baler or the trash compactor. I had to use the compactor yesterday though, management asked me to use it I work in front end as a CC and realised this May not have been suitable for someone my age, the person who told me to do it basically left me outside to do i...
