I work overnight stock at Wal-Mart and it sucks, it's killing me and I'm sick of it and saw that they were hiring for the Kroger just down the road from my apartment. I could get daytime hours and work at a non-back-breaking pace and save money on gas. I make $10.90 an hour at Wal-Mart and was wondering i...
If I worked part of a week and up and quit in the middle of it, do I still get paid for the hours that I put in before I quit? I usually have direct deposit but it didn't hit there so I was just curious...
I have been working at my Kroger for over a year now, when I first started off I loved going to work loved doing my thing. but as the year progressed and I got to meet and know everyone I began to see the true colors of working at Kroger. The managers first off are horrible , as well as the supervisors they do no...
So basically I'll just tell you the situation and then ask my question.. I work in the FC. Our 'team' consists of four people. Now that wouldn't be an issue, but one of my coworkers constantly calls in for stupid reasons and usually gets away with it. Well they called in this past Thursday even though ev...
I've been working at Kroger for 2 years as a courtesy clerk & school starts in about 3 weeks. I'm going out of state to attend college, but I still want to be able to come back home for my job. A few of my co-workers go to college & said they were told the rule is they must come back once a month. My quest...
I worked in my store for three years, I really like the people (for who they are), etc. However, the working conditions, the workload (our DM always over-ordered because he never checked backstock and if there isn't a full case of a product on the shelf, he will order it anyway), the management team, mo...
So, for the past month+ it seems like I'm constantly singled out by FE management. Made an example of, if you will. Here's some of what it: They will loudly call my name out and tell me to "go to the Smile Zone" when I have a line of people I'm checking out. And when I do go to the Smile Zone, I end...
It was busy, we were both stressed, you know the drill. The check was a "disablity[sic] check" for just under $1000 which looked like it was from the UFCW (had the correct address and everything), and had the Kroger logo. My coworker said that the scammer's ID matched the name on the check...
they give you a comment box but it only allows like 10 characters. Yeah, that's totally enough space to let them know that "bitch, I won't be here x day because I got **** to do. And don't try to deny it because I'll just call in, what's the worst you can do? write me up, whoop de doo"
Me? Well experienced (20+) years in retail. Looking for a job locally, have narrowed down companies to apply with. Kroger is appealing for many premium personal reasons. I understand that the company in whole does not hire in Full Time for front end/cashiering. I'm reading that part-time stat...
School is starting back next week :) no more male troll's in men's restroom pissing all over the floor. No more female trolls climbing under the stall door because they cannot get out. I am sorry if I offend anyone here about their kids. I love kids I just think parents should go with a child under 10 to the...
Yesterday, my dog was killed in a freak accident. While you may say it was just a dog, I'd like to point out my husband and I were never able to have children. So our dog's are quite a bit like our children, we spend money on behaviorists, the whole nine yards. Anyway, even though my dog was missing when I wen...
So, last night I got to train the closer on how to do mark downs. I'm a cake decorator. She's been closing for over a month but no one has bothered to train her. Before the manager left he asked me if I could help her out. "Sure" I said. Then found out the Asst #2 was suppose to train her but didn't wa...
flies in the store? We like to open the bay doors to let a breeze come in and some other employees are complaining that this allows flies to come in the store. 1. what about the front doors that are opening ALL THE TIME? and 2. flies that come in on customers who haven't bathed in days!?
We had a co that just quit..just up and quit. She was pretty much forced out. This lady knows all the ins and outs of kroger, been with the company for years. She said she was tired of the bullsh@@ and mistreatment and just quit. Shame on you kroger. We got a new co manager a few weeks ago. Since then, we've l...
I got on Express HR this morning to see how much my paycheck was and I noticed 7 day pay was not included. Worked Sunday-Saturday last week. Anyone know why this happened or how to handle it?
