So I earned a vacation in november. I was not able to take that vacation due to lack of help and holidays coming up. My manager at the time calls human resource and gets an ok that in january i could take the vacation and it would be carried over so in january i took a vacation. Its now june and i am taking my nor...
I know that Kroger hasn't ever been good about hiring competent people, but it's gotten way worse here recently. Here are some of the geniuses that my store has hired in the past month: - Cashier who is leaving in less than a month and can only work 12-16 hours a week for "medical reasons" - 3...
why is it that the raises for pharmacists are equal to or less than that of the techs? no wonder sw division has 40% pharmacy turnover. vacation policy and bonus structure suck, too. Kroger may want to think about using some of the billion dollars it is sinking into the dallas district to keep the em...
I recently started as a courtesy clerk at Kroger. It has been nearly two months since I first started working, and I believe my supervisor has finally crossed the line. I have been working my tail off in attempt to make sure that he/she (trying to remain anonymous) will stop pestering me about not doing...
Warning: Long rant ahead ;) So, I've worked at my store for 5 years now. It was my first job at 16 as a bagger, then I went to floral, and now I'm a file clerk. The past week or two, my management has been going nuts because the "higher-ups" are pissed that we're going crazy with overtime and over s...
I recieved email welcoming me to kroger team, and it also directed me to this site, does that mean i'm hired?? I have recieved any phone calls related to being hired. I would hate to assume I have the job because of the email, I really dont want to tell my family and it ends up i have no job!!!!

I have a shift tomorrow morning from 645 am to noon, which shouldn't be bad, but on the my availability I specifically put I couldn't work Thursdays and am unable to do so tomorrow. I'm still on my probationary period and need to call them but am afraid of being fired. When I call, I press to talk to custom...
Has anyone heard of cheez-ums? They are the same type of crackers like Cheez-it, and they used to be stocked on the shelves next to them. A customer asked me if we carried them a while back, and I told them yes that I remembered them but they must have been discontinued. I was just thinking about them to...
Dept:Meat So I had to go in for emergency dental work on my day off this past week and took the following day off. I gave them almost 24 hours notice. Only took one day off, so I didn't get a doctor's note as our contract says we only need one for multiple days. So I got my work done at the dentist.. got pain meds...
I'm just wondering if there are any stores still pushing the "Make it right" policy. At my store when they first introduced it, they were heavily pushing it on us. They would require us to carry a pack of stickers in case we encountered a situation where we had to make it right, they would dis...
Have you ever had crazy shoplifter/stealing customers? We always had this one man find other peoples receipts and always try to return an item on it (he would just take from the shelf). Some of the idiots would allow the return but most of the smarter ones would deny but management would never do anythi...
besides being a bagger, those of us on the docks have it bad. It's brutally hot in the summertime (no breeze) and frigid in the winter. The heater in the ceiling works ok but as soon as someone opens the back door, any heat is gone and you're back to freezing. Why can't they give us reasonable heat and a/...
On the YKB site's main page, I'm given a deductible meter for progress on what I still owe. When I first signed up for insurance, I didn't see anywhere to actually start paying this off. It being a new account, I figured I'd wait and see if something appeared. Well, I forgot all about it (I don't visit the d...
just wondering if it's entirely store employees. Would like to meet someone who works at the warehouse and tell them how they can **** off, especially the weekend crew
there are better opportunities out there!? I used to be happy at my job but recently had a change of heart and realized that since I'm not rewarded for going above and beyond for that place, I've asked around (and even been asked) about other opportunities with different companies. Turns out there a...
