Does anyone have any thoughts about the Associate Relations Manager position? I have an interview in 2 weeks down in Cincinnati and was just wondering what ya'll thought about it. I heard they're paid very low, but I would rather work in an office setting than with customers. Thanks!
It's just not worth it. The employees are so hateful and rude. The store is never stocked. Just in the last week, 3 trips to Kroger here's what happened: 1. Cashier had a fit when I told her the code for a white onion. She said "I'm not going to put up with that, I'm not having any of it" rea...
I feel that my co-workers are great. Honestly, i can't think of anyone that I don't get along with. It's the management team that makes this such a miserable place to work. the managers and department leads are so far removed from their employees as to be ineffective. there isn't one of them that's...
Department heads are getting a .30 cent pay cut and back-ups a .15 cent pay cut. All based on store sales. -- Edited by notafan on Sunday 12th of July 2015 08:31:42 PM

Anybody ever go to the "official" Kroger sites like yammer? Or read the mag's you get in the mail? They sure do make Kroger to look like a fun place to work. I'm sure it can be with the right management. Do any of you (me too) complainers work at these stores? In the few years I've been with K....
I applied for customer first clerk and they send me an email saying "welcome aboard" or the onboarding portal. They send me this email about 3 days ago and I did not receive anything yet. Do I should call? or anyone know when it will be my first day?
So I got hired and everything I read through paperwork with my boss and stuff.. .but she said I have to complete ACT online training but I didn't get a website...also I have to go to another place to get training but how do I complete the ACT training
Some time ago, I changed my hourly availability through esched, as directed by my department head. It has been sitting there marked "pending approval" for a LONG TIME. My department head says management has to approve it and management says my department head has to approve it. It all boi...
Don't really know how to feel, i basically run the floor anyways, so it won't be any different. Hopefully i can brighten some days, and change some attitudes.
Okay this might sound bad, but I'm just nervous and a little excited! I received a call from the HR for my orientation date! However, I can't remember if she said 11-7, 3-7 or 4-7... Anyone remember when their orientation was? I'm going into deli if it helps any..
The new thing for baggers is after you get your computer training, you get 24 hours of training with someone from the front office on how to bag and do carts. 24 Hours!! For a fairly simple job, that's a lot of training. I asked someone if that was a little excessive, but they told me that some of the new one...
Even though I no longer work at Kroger, I still shop there because it is the closest store to my home. However, I went to a marketplace on Friday after work to pick up some things and they were having a few sample events. First kiosk was the biscotti, which I like. I tried the key lime and coconut one, and...
Over a week ago I went and took a drug test(the cotton swab one) at kroger. She said the drug test will take 2 days(for them to receive it and test it), then the background check will take one to two weeks. I know I will past both of them unless they act uneducated on their end(like doing the background check...
I guess it's like a retooling or modification to the existing software rather than a whole new program built from the ground up. Management has been having meetings with department heads about it and coordinators or whatnot have been visiting my store and sitting down with the department heads to &q...
alright, this is probably a really, really stupid question, but no one seems to be capable of answering a single simple question tl;dr, do we get holiday pay for the 4th? i heard other workers talking about it at work that you get time and a half if you work + pay without working (the latter i would assume t...
