I got suspended from work for calling my store manager a ****ing bitch! This was upstairs in the managers office and out on the sales floor. I am everybody's hero at work.
Hey everyone, I would really appreciate your opinion regarding this issue. I'm a part-time pharmacy technician at Kroger and go to college full-time. My availability thus is limited and have worked the same hours and days since I started two years ago. The store I work is currently going an extensiv...
Can someone please tell me how to put in a two weeks notice at krogers? I work in the Nashville division and have no idea how to do it. About to go off to school and I don't wanna just quit my job. Please help!
Taken when I had a long-assed shift at night and had to clear the parking lot. Since I ended up clocking out past 11 p.m., this photographic opportunity was available. Proof that it CAN happen. It just doesn't happen until the last cashier has gone home at 11 p.m.
So we had a guy quit, a different one shoot himself (on accident surprisingly enough) and another that is just lazy, well being short handed we needed help, our front end took this as their opening to pawn off somebody they wanted to fire... basically what I heard was that she worked in produce and actua...
Yesterday, one of our new hires got punched in the face by a customer. The poor girl is a minor and had nothing to do with the situation. The white trash woman who punched her had been cleaning her baby in the bathroom sink. A different cashier saw her and reported the woman to our newest co-manager. Mr. Id...
So apparently a gun-control group is trying to get Kroger to ban customers from carrying weapons openly...thoughts? Contacted on Friday, company spokesman Keith Dailey said the grocery chain had no plans to change existing policy, which is to abide by state and local laws. "Millions of cust...
In every business all over the planet, people are the same. So too are managers. We all personally know every group I'm going to describe. (A): Everybody's best friend. These people are smart, motivated and very good at what they do; they're just in management because they want to make good mony to s...
A commenter on another site made this wonderfully written post about how Kroger's metric-centered policy negatively affects the employees and the company, wanted to share for how insightful and true it is:
Hiyo. I was wondering if anyone had access to a chart that tells the raises levels that each department gets over a time. Preferably for a night crew stocker? I'm currently getting $7.25. But I'm about to be promoted to an official night stocker, which would boost me to $7.50. I hear after that it's anot...
I found out that one of the co-managers left our store to work somewhere else. How long do you think it takes for them to realize "oh crap....how long can i really work here?"
I have called in maybe 4 times in the last 7 months. I had a fever and diahreaa and I called 8 hours before my shift. The manager demanded I got a dr note for this. I don't have insurance and can't afford it. Do I really have to get a note of am I going to lose my job?
I spoke up for myself today. They gave me a written verbal about my "tardies" and I told them I would not sign it, so the co store manager wrote down refused to sign. So when I told her about working in a hostile environment and the CMS using his size to intimidate me, she said I could write it down...
While I'm at it, I just wanna rant about the garbage they force us to listen to on the Food 4 Less radio station here on the west coast from 12am to 7am. What idiot thought it was a bright idea to program the same damn rock & roll songs to play over and over and over and over every single night at this time? W...
I'm currently a supervisor working 25-30 hours a week. I'm really fed up with supervising. I just want to be a bagger. Should I try to move to a different department, or ask nicely to just be a bagger?
or are they lazy like ours? Store was busy today so of course I could never keep up with bringing the carts in from the corrals in the parking lot. Our customers snatch up those small 'buggies' like they had $20 bills taped to them. One of these days I am going to do it just for the hell of it. Anyway... Went ou...
