Every now and then, I see a dog locked in a car and they look like they're in distress. Should I just break the windows to save the dog?

I put in for my vacation a month ago and it got approved. Well now I find out I was bumped by a co- worker with more seniority. I already paid for my reservations and plane tickets. I WILL be going on this vacation, bumping or not. Now in case they TRY to terminate me, do I need my union just in case?
