Can I be fired for using price overrides? Often times I get customers, maybe 2 or 3 times a week, who come to my line saying "oh such and such was a certain price, your manager said I can have it for this price" OR sometimes they come with products that have that blue and white sticker on them. In the past, I'...
I work as an overnight grocery clerk stocking merchandise. I'm fairly new. The rf scanner was explained to me once, but I didn't have the best teacher. Can a kind soul please explain how to use it? I stock all the products on the pallets and we are instructed to leave product that does not fit onto the she...
HIRED:H - Hard-working (Are you a hard-worker? Are you really dedicated to learning?)I - Independent (Do you require a lot of pushing, or can you get the job done independently?)R - Reliable (How reliable are you...do you do what you say you will do?)E - Enthusiastic (How enthusiastic are you? Are yo...
We end up with bad loss and it isn't because someone isn't keeping up with the PPST, CAP, or other throw away. It is because an employee comes in while not on the clock and helps themselves. This person gets away with everything because they've worked their so long. The Lead and not even management will c...
So despite the fact that I've lurked here for a year being entertained by the "Kroger Sucks" stories, and can commiserate to a point, if I were to be perfectly honest, i love my job. No, I don't want to make a career out of being a Kroger cashier, and there's always going to be SOME bullcrap with any job. But...
Instead of showing it to you or even asking if they can scan it. I dunno about you, but it kind of makes me feel like chopped liver as a cashier and it's incredibly annoying when customers do that. Even had a couple other cashiers do it to me. Am I the only cashier who is bothered by that?
I'm becoming very frustrated with a particular manager assistant front end manager at my store. She's profoundly unpleasant in a variety of ways, and now she's even started skipping breaks in order to keep Quevision up. What are some good ways to cause problems for her, but not for other managers? Si...
Everytime they come to my line, they say absolutely nothing to me. Not a hi when I say hi, not a thank you when I say to them have a nice day. Just nothing. No eye contact either.
i am a cashier with thirty years and today I was graded by a backup in the front office and they said that I did everything right except I did not educate customers. I have never heard of this. Has anybody ever heard of this? I wanted to laugh out loud but I knew better. I know this came from corporate they ca...
So we officially have removed our no call-no shower co-worker from our dept. And myself and a few others were given her hours. More money yes, but more closing time too. Yay.
What gets on my nerves is the employees complaining about how Kroger sucks, their jobs, and other employees. Then turn around and brag about how long they've worked for the company and their seniority. The only ones who have the seniority to tell me my job are the Leads and managers. They only seniorit...
I wish Kroger would stop this. Free candy, free cookies, free fruit. Candy and cookies are not good for kids (in excess) so why should Kroger encourage this when they like to pretend they are so "hip" and up with the green/healthy lifestyles? The free fruit in Produce should be stopped!!!! Pieces o...
We have a self-serve bread slicer in our bakery department over by the artisan bread wall. You just put the bread in, close the lid and the bread comes out underneath. Somebody tried slicing a loaf of bread in the bag. There were shreds of plastic all tangled up in the blades. Did they really think...
But I regret leaving the bakery for the deli I thought the bakery sucked but man man the bakery is a whole lot better than the deli these asshats always have me closing by myself because employees with more seniority don't want to close and I'm a nice guy so whenever someone is alone and the call on my day of...
I have worked at kroger for four years now, and I am thinking of getting a tattoo on my forearm, which would be very visible. I always wear short sleeves to work, because I work in Mississippi, so it is usually very hot. I am wondering what kroger's policy is. There are a few people I work with that have visi...
