UFCW 1996: I'm happy to announce that the Kroger contract was ratified by an overwhelming majority. Steve Lomax President Local 1996 Reply STOP to Cancel
My team just recently were discussed with from a night comanager that our supposed goal to stock hourly is 85 cases an hour. Tonight, I had 137 pieces and it took me exactly 2 and a half hours to finish it. By that time I hit exactly 55 cases an hour, which is supposed to be the minimum they want. Where do...
anybody else ready for kroger to make major changes or excuses why we need to cutback on things wages etc or threats of taking back stuff from employees?
At my store, somehow it's become the front end's job to fill them, and more specifically that of the courtesy clerks and SCO attendant. A vendor might fill Body Armor and some energy drinks, but not enough to matter. Grocery might fill milk and almond milk in the morning, but that's it. So, one Grab &a...
However it's for a Deli Clerk in my store. And lately how they have separated out some bakery people, leaving some to work afternoons and closing shifts(to which I am one of the remaining 3 over there that is not full-time), I'm not sure if I can sign my name and apply or not. I mean I've wanted full-time fo...
Do they really give health insurance? I am a 19 month employee and have been jacked around about my insurance. No one seems to know when you get it and what you have. I've been told for months that I already have it but have never received any paperwork to sign . I've spoke to the store manager, benefit...
Walmart only pays $9 an hour until pathways is completed, which takes a considerable amount of time. Not to mention there's no health Insurance for PT, and even FT health Insurance can't hold a candle to the health Insurance at Kroger. My stepdad works a corporate job at a health Insurance company and...
i'm putting in my two week notice tomorrow. i don't have access to the printer, so i'm going to write it by hand, one for the store manager and one for the department manager. any advice? my last day of available to work is going to be either friday the 30th, saturday the 1st or july 3rd; i can't decide. if i l...
so i basically have made up my mind i'm going to call in today, and please spare me the lectures btw; a supervisor in greatpeople rejected my one day time-off request that i put in weeks ago. i'm not worried about getting a write up because i'll be quitting soon, but can i be fired on the spot for doing this (...
Well, I had a vacation planned about 3 months ago to go out-of-state for a week, and I put in a time-off request around then; I never heard back from my department manager about whether it was denied/approved, so I assumed it was fine, seeing as how my other co-workers had done so several times in the past...
These changes came from the Front End Coordinator who is over an area of Kroger stores due to many complaints about 1) long lines, 2) customers waiting too long to be rung up, 3) cashiers not being friendly nor greeting the customer and so on. One of the Front End supervisors was in charge of training eve...
I've been working at Kroger for almost a year and I hate I've paid unions dues for so long, I've no health through the company, the store I work at is filthy and nasty. The produce is never fresh the employees are lazy. I am tired of it !!!!?! The managers pay no attention to approved availability, the har...
Kroger customers complain about the long wait to get checked out. So Que Vision was designed to solve that problem. Yet when the store I work at has 8 open registers, only 5 of them are being used by our customers. The number of customers waiting in line affects that score. So really what is the solution t...
We have have a new employee in our department. They have potential, but seems to not want to work fast enough. They are willing do the work but slowly. It's like they know they need to work while on the clock, but doesn't want to do much. They will spend 30 minutes on a slicer, 2 hours washing spoons and pans...
Is it okay to wear pants other than work pants to work? I was considering wearing some pants that are somewhat equivalent but NOT leggings. what can I get away with?
Have I been fired? Everyone else in the department has alot more hours that week. It's a miserable department anyways, so much stocking and so much cleaning, dept manager is one of the worst people i've ever worked for and the last guy in my spot moved to courtesy clerk because he hated it. supposedly ma...
