I'm new as a cashier. And there was this lady that came to my line. Now it's REAL busy and there's people waiting out into the aisles on all registers. This lady presents me with this 45 cent coupon for for like a box of tissues. I scan them, and it tells me quantity not satisfied. I ask her to show me the stuff...
My Customer Service Manager Stinks! Yes she is a terrible leader, has a bad personality, is not very good looking but worst of all she ACTUALLY ****ing smells bad. We all have our unique body odor and we cannot actually smell ourselves which puts us at the mercy of spouses, family, and loved ones. Also...
So, I feel that I need to vent here...thanks in advance for listening, lol! I recently had my first night as a cashier on my own, without training. Now, I've worked in grocery before, YEARS ago, so it's not like I don't know what I'm doing, I just basically needed training on Kroger's policies. So, I get a...
In my area we have this customer first promise that replaced the cultural council. We have these little sticker boards where we are supposed to get awarded for good things but being stuck in express check out hell I rarely get them because the front end avoid it like the plague. To me this just sounds lik...
Is music gone all stores or just mine? Last week it was very very loud. Manager said something in the huddle asking where produce was. Someone said they told them. Then I said they probaly didn't hear you with that loud radio. He sad they have a radio? He got on the PA and said. Produce come to the huddle and...
Some customer ordered 30 cases of Ozarka (which is a water we very rarely have in stock) so I went to look for some for him, found some and loaded them up onto a 6-wheeler (because there's no way I'm pushing a ****load of carts for one order) I wait in line with him to check out, and even load them into his truc...
I have been at Kroger for almost a year, I started out as a courtesy clerk and have moved up as a cashier. Here are the "Good, Bad and the Ugly" I have found while working checkout. The Good I meet lots of very nice people and unique people. I get a good feeling from being able to help others. I have sometimes...
My manager is a real jerk about this. Says, " if they LOOK old enough, let em go. Use your judgement. Sell it to them. I was TOLD in the beginning, to card EVERYONE REGARDLESS! I'm NOT gonna lose my job because some fart is pissed I card them! I'm sorry. What do yo do?
I work at QFC in Washington and I want to know if it would be reasonable to get another job part time and keep this job part time for the health insurance. How many hours a week do you have to work to have insurance? I liked my old store I worked at, but I moved and switched to a store I can get to and I just really d...
I just started as a cashier and I'm not sure if I'm processing bottle slips correctly when the customer just wants to cash them. I scan the bottle return slip(s) -> press total-> a negative amount shows up ex. [-3.30]-> type in 330-> press cash-> drawer opens and I give the customer the...
Why can't it be so simple as stocking product to the shelf? Why do we need all these time wasting scans (such as batch maintenance and lows & holes)? I can understand scanning residual backstock and changing balances on holes to zero when the product isn't there, but everything else just seems unn...

I work in clicklist as an attendant, and sometimes the managers and supervisors do not close. Normally this turns out fine because the marshal (woman that answers the phone and does paperwork) is usually very capable and easygoing. But lately, there has been another marshal who likes to act like a su...
How much worse can this company get? It seems like they expect so many tasks finished by 9 AM, Fresh Kitchen ran, lows and holes scans, backstock scans, truck broken down, cooler 5 Sd, dept filled and ready for business. All of this, while sending relief help up front. Don't know how much more I can take....
