Oh...my....gosh! We are now not allowed to have have boxes of vinyl gloves ANYWHERE but in the box by the handwashing sink. Are they effing kidding? Reason being we have to wash hands in between every glove change. Ridiculous. I change my gloves way too many times for that nonsense.
i have a petty theft charge on my record from 2012 almost five years ago. I've already got the job at Kroger but what are the chances of them terminating my employment because of it?
I'm going to just say what's on my mind here, because I can't at work. I'm considered the Rookie at work, because I'm the newest one in my department. I don't feel like the Rookie though. It seems like those who have worked there longer are still learning. They don't understand the meaning of work. Yet th...
So I have a grocery manager who is always watching me. There are 5 guys on my night crew (I am a night stocker)... but this guy just insists on watching ME all the time. I do literally everything by the book. I have had no complaints from any manager figures, night leads, etc., since forever. In other words...
Yeah! Yeah! I know, they say management and Department Heads don't get on here, but I don't believe that for one minute. I know if it were me in their position, I'd get on here to see what people are complaining and bragging about. It would be an awesome way for me to try to resolve issues in my department. I...
Hi, I call myself Anonymous Cutter but my real name is Wermal. I have this web called krogertalk that no body comes to, in fact last time I investigated the hit sources it was my mom, my aunt and a few of their red hattitude club friends. Kinda bums me out, but not as much so as that I'm 34 yrs old, weigh just ov...
The Union is only good for the ones who don't want to work, but want a pay check. They are called United Food and Commercial WORKERS (UFCW) Union. They should be called United For the Careless and Weary (UFCW). Most people I have met that count on the Union know little about Food and Commercial and defini...
So far I know that there's 3 positions. A lead, backup, customer attendant and picker. Could anyone tell me what the customer attendant does? I have seen the job description, but I'd like to know what the position does from someone who actually does it. Thanks!
I have worked for Kroger for 5 months and have no Personal, Sick etc time off pay built up. I have not missed a day or been late. I spoke with someone who has worked there 2 months and has already built up Time Off pay hours. That person has been late and called in several times in that 2 months. I feel I'm reall...
So apparently we either have some very hawk eyed managers lately, nosy customers, or just plain irked co-workers. That inspired our mini huddle tonight in the back of the Deli. Apparently(and they've told us this before), we can't have personal items in the dept.(aside from our fleece jackets for t...
Can Atlanta division stores offer experience pay to CCs or Cashiers? How high can they go? I had 10 months of experience as a CC a few months that's back, and have a month of POS experience.
It is an age old question. Discuss. Are you happy about having a union to back you up and protect your job or do you think we would be better off without them?
I want to see how many will respond to this and how many will just read it. What department do you work in? Why do you work in that department? What would you change in your department? What would you not change in your department? What do you not like about your job? What do you like about your job? Would...
So i've heard that corporate is doing away with the HR/ARM/whatever it's called in your store position. I heard that the ARMs were told today that as of mid May their job titles are gone. But idk how true this is. so if it is true, whats happening to them? Are they being fired? Are they becoming co-manage...
I got called into work to close and got tuck with the mess again. It was suppose to be my Friday off, but others called off and I ended up working. Friday is truck day. Garbage hadn't been taken out all day, dishes and spoons hadn't been done, not enough rotisserie cooked, sides hadn't been freshened, a...
