Ok, so i dont come from a right to work state. What the heck is it? What does it mean for the union? And what happens if you decide not to pay union dues? My dad was part of a union where even the people that did not pay in got represented by the union so I guess I don't understand.
Our meat market never changes their tags and I have been told by a district front end coordinator to never do anything for the meat market. Our store manager is now wanting me to take down incorrect tags in the meat market, even though there are meat market employees 6 feet away from them. This store man...
Once again I got to work the last 5 hours of the day and get stuck with a mess. Garbage hadn't been taken out all day, dishes and spoons hadn't been done, not enough rotesserie cooked, no fish sandwiches made, sides hadn't been freshened, and salad and meat case wasn't full. Not one person from first shif...
The store I work at was one of the last to honor senior discount day on Wednesdays. I want to first say that I love the elderly and I always go out of my way to help them out with anything they need. I have helped shop for them and helped fill a grocery list for others and I enjoy that sort of thing. However, I t...
Don't you just love all the nosy people you work with. Man I get a boner from all the gossip and I really love it when a punk ass bitch from the front end who stands around all day playing boss starts telling you how to do your job. **** YOU U LITTLE BITCH. I really am about fed up with all the bull****. The stor...
I believe there are many things Kroger needs to work on. The first thing is communication between managers and their staff. Not one will to talk to me personally about any issues they have with me. They tell others, then others tell others, then it finally gets to me. Issues the management has with me ar...
will be suspended/terminated. Heard that another store people would come in and write schedules/edit orders off the clock. Someone found out and HR was interviewing the whole store. If store management sees it happening and does nothing they could get fired.
I worked for Kroger in many departments I was working under a Dept. Manager by the name of Justin Mitchell Store 0644 in Little Rock Justin says he is divorced from his wife so we start seeing each other, come to find out he was lying. He was in fact married with kids, Now I don't make it a habit of datin...
If I'm transferring to a different department is there anything I need to fill out on the website? I talked to my HR but she said that I just had to give my two week notice. The guy that interviewdd me told me that I had to fill something out online but I can't recall what it was. Does anyone know ?
I'm scheduled to have a surgery in May. I will need a week off for recovery. I know how to request a day off, but not a week. How do I request that week off? What do I need from my surgeon, to request it off?
I used to work there. The people I worked with were great, but the supervisors and management suck. The main supervisor is a hot head who throws a tantrum when things don't go right. He will literally throw things when something happens. I got fired because I decided to listen to Denise for when she told...
This just got to me and I can't seem to get it off my mind. Yesterday while at work the RGM came in. She was talking to another employee about the mistakes being made in the Deli. The person, the RGM was talking to, works in Bakery and Deli. She said to the RGM that it's the new people making the mistakes. The...
If you file a complaint do they actually do anything? A coworker that is very sensitive came up to me and said he wanted to file a complaint against someone with more seniority in our department for the way he was being treated. I of course advised he try to talk it out first . But honestly, does the union ev...
I never quit, but this place makes me think about doing it everyday. I don't know whether to give them notice or just slack until they fire me. They nit-pick about everything I do while watching the others stand around doing nothing. The management will stand there talking to lazy ones while customers...
How does your HR manager handle disputes and complaints between employees. Does your HR Manager ever tell overzealous department heads to calm their teets about how they talk to workers? Or is your HR Manager basically just Ricki Lake, thier to put on a conxerned face and then shrug off everything yo...
If you are a department head... do you have any employees who don't respect you as their boss? For whatever reason, be it that they have more time in with the company than you, or are older than you, or any reason really. Because i don't mean to sound like a whiner but after an incident today, i really just r...
at my store they're supposedly phasing out nutrition positions in favor of grocery throwing it up instead. i wouldn't mind this, except it doubles our work load and makes us have to learn entirely new aisles. i'm sure our nutrition workers are also thrilled that they are being forced into a new depart...
Here in my division in Tennessee we recently got rid of Senior day, here are things I found annoying and I would like to see what other little things bother other associates. People parking the electric mart carts in the cart carriage or just leaving it in the middle of a parking spot. People that come i...
