I was wondering if anyone on here has ever been put on the schedule before actually completing the required training. I was reading the company SOP and it says there that if an untrained employee is found operating the registers or service booths that the manager in charge of scheduling said employee...
Anybody here know of the Kroger policy of selling sale products to vendors (party store owners)? I would love to know the policy and show it to mgmt. I really hate it when they come in and buy our crap to turn around and double the price to sell in their stores. As un interested as I am about Kroger making mo...
A customer came in today, my 30 min of work, and 'To tell me I did a good job on the chicken the other day. I remembered that customer cause they waited the 17 minutes for it to cook. Where do you put in for job bids? Is there paper work to fill out with HR? Or is everything online? Also is a job bid similar to a job transfer? Also, how experienced do you have to be, in order to be considered seriously for a new position at another store?
I have worked grocery at Wal-Mart in the past and I know how to stock shelves and I can "condition" really well, but when I was hired at Kroger the GM felt I wasn't suited for anywhere else at the moment but being a courtesy clerk (i had gotten out of the hospital with kidney surgery about a month prior and i t...
So I got an after-school job as a courtesy clerk at a local Kroger division and have been working it for about 8 months. I understand that is not a long time based on other positions, but based on how fast CC's come and go at my store, it is quite a while. I work at a marketplace location so significantly mor...
I am a new cashier. I have been working at a PS in a local market going on 2 months. My FES is always harping on us to raise our IPM. We have a FE goal to hit of 22. My question: Is this realistic? Does kroger have a storewide IPM goal? Woulg kroger rather I scan fast or engage customers?
Several people have been hired before background check. Then if it comes back negative they fire them. Wouldn't this cost the company more money? This has happened twice to me. I am the head utility clerk I mean the main one that cleans in the morning. I am part time and am 43 years old and can only work par...
I don't work in the bakery, but this is something that strikes me as both bizarre and stupid. It used to be that the in-store made (I guess) bread would be put out in either partially sealed or completely sealed bags. Just this week though, the bakery is putting out bread and it's just sitting... out ther...
Filed a harassment complaint against a co worker for repeated unwanted touching. I don't want to get into specifics as this was quite recently and someone might recognise me, but I want to know what happens next. My store management took the written complaint but I haven't heard anything back. What i...
Whoever made it possible to grant me 40 hours the week after next, HALLELUJAH!!!!! Although now that I think about it, we do have 3 peeps that have put in their notices for quitting....which sucks to get hours because of that. And yet at the same time I haven't seen a full 40 hours or anything close to it in...

How long did it take you to learn how to do the bread dough slack out for the next day? I ask, cause I'll apparently have to be doing it on my own in the coming weeks. Because of how our vacation schedule is falling and pretty much the folks that know how to do it are either going on vacation, or having requeste...
At first I was upset a little, because they transferred a couple of our floor managers and brought in new ones. I just started getting to know the old ones. While at work last night I realized why they do this. I really like one of our transfers. She actually pays attention to the employees and what ideas t...
Did my first night of closing by my lonesome the other night. And to be frank it wasn't half bad once I was FINALLY able to get to doughnut slack out and slicing the bread(b/c with my luck when I'm on a 2 to 10, I'm the #1 floor filler and can't do anything else til that is done. And all these extra displays with...
