This past Saturday I walked in to the store where I work. I walked up to the manager and asked how he was. (yes I am a nice person) He told me that the store had been very very busy sorry and slow baggers bringing in only 1 or 2 carts at a time. I know myself carts have been missing for about a year. Some are in a dit...
Well I was fired from my back up position Friday morning, But I heard from a friend that still works there that the job bid for the next back up was already posted that afternoon. When the back p before me gave up the job, it wasn't posted until 2 weeks later. Seems fishy to me? -- Edited by krogerman77 on M...
I am currently in the Fuel Center, I was wondering how one would go about going form working in the Fuel Center to working in the store. I really don't care what it is, it's just really boring out here and I prefer to actually work while on the job instead of being stuck in this kiosk for 8 hours every day doin...
What the hell is wrong with this company that it can't staff it's stores? It refuses to pay competitive wages so that we can hire decent help? Then the reliable workers are forced into six, seven days a week of work with seventy + hours. I'm losing my mind and they can't even find someone to run my ****in...
Saw a couple posts and I just really don't understand, especially since I saw a few very different explanations. Can someone explain job steps to me like I'm five?
So I've worked in a few departments but mostly the bakery. I have also had a slew of other jobs in different industries. I gotta ask--are your bakeries full of hens or is it just mine? For reference I am a female myself but have never been part of this mean girl hive mentality. The talking behind people's b...
We have this blonde comanager that annoys everyone but does everyone to hide that huge rack. Just let it out! I swear i will do a backstock review everyday if you do!
That was quite an eye grabbing intro, wasn't it? Hi all, Angus Young, Attorney-at-law here again, ready to be at your personal service day and night. Nothing is too big or too small, I work independently so i have plenty of time to devote only to YOU-----while keeping my fees rock bottom low...
Management at the store I work has started posting all these sheets of paper on the walls in the break room and by the communication board (where the schedule/ring tender sheets and other stuff goes) with questions on them like, "Are you proud to work for your company?" and underneath the questions ar...
I just did the Wbl test or computer training.. Whats next after that.. no one told me what the next thing to do? Ill be working at the deli Department.. And this is gonna be my very first job.
Do meat clerks have to order? I work packeged meat every day and do all the ordering for frozen meat and packeged meat. I also do the cap review for the fresh sausage and work all back stock for packeged meat and frozen. I do all of this and didn't get a raise and I am not a manager! Is this right.
Who came up withe this idiotic idea? I work in the bakery department, but I'm sure it's the same in all the other departments. We are continuously filling cases and tables from 6 AM until the last person leaves at 9 PM, and yet they want everyone to stop what they're doing every two hours starting at 8 AM...
Ive been applying for and interviewing for the management training program. Seems like I will be getting an offer soon and wanted the "ins and outs" of Kroger and all of your opinions. Recently graduated from college with 5 years experience in retail but not Kroger. Seems like a solid trai...
Do any of your stores have a Chinese kitchen or is this just a Fry's thing? The spicy orange chicken was the only thing keeping me alive. I spoke with a kitchen clerk and they said it was discontinued, I didn't get a reason though. Now, during my lunches I sit in the backroom contemplating whether to jump i...
In regards to Kroger subsidaries, such as Fred Myers, etc. Do they share the same HR and HR computer system? That is, if you crossed one, have you crossed them all? Or are they separate entities with their own HR and employment record system?
I prefer 2-3am but sometimes i just take my boyfriend Gary to it and bend him over at peak times. We like to do it when the "freshness check" goes off.
What hours do your dept heads work as a late night. Do all your full time people work one late night a week ? 10am to 7pm, 3am to 12 noon just some feedback please.
Sometimes I wonder if weird customers are just always around or if they come in waves. Had a customer with her younger adult daughter who is a mom come through my line as the cashier is ringing em up in two orders. First order processes fine, and is bagged n in the cart. Second order begins, i bag n finish em...
