So, we have a thread stickied with all the usual ring tender tips, but I was wondering if anyone had any more unorthodox, unknown, or high skill tips to increase ring/tender. I'll start off with a few of mine. When a customer mentions at the start of an order that they need to grab an item, never start. I...
I'm a newly assigned CO just a few weeks out of training, up until this point everything has been really good. Time at corp and my training store were great. Training SM was fantastic and totally engaged with customers, as was the whole organization. Now where I'm at it's the complete opposite. SM sp...
I found a Kroger bag with an empty plastic coffee and sugar container in it hidden on one of the shelves. I figured the person dumped the product in a zip lock bag and walked out with it. I decided to open them and look. They had lint in them like someone put pocket change in them. They could have put the...
So, it's Sunday. Football shoppers, thanksgiving shoppers. At capacity all day long, doing a 9hr shift on register, rarely have a bagger. About 5 of them are MIA, and lobby is somehow empty of carts. Then I have to wait until less than 2 hours left in my shift for my second break because all the baby cashi...
Have a question what does a employee do if your store doesn't have a shop steward. We have that issue at my store we don't have a shop steward and the union has not appointed on since the other 2 stewards got fired months ago.The AA I was told was the shop which means that she would side with management any da...
It seems like almost every day I'm being asked to stay extra. I could use the extra money, but I wish they would just schedule me that way to begin with so I can actually make plans and know when I'm going to be home. It makes no sense why they're scheduling me for 4 hours and then ask me to stay 8 as soon as I get...
I'm a full time employee that has been working for Kroger for 15 years in Atlanta division been trying get a transfer to another store closer to where my fiancé lives without any luck and into a store position, hope to get married next year. All I get from the store managers is that we don't have full time...
Hello, could anyone tell me of any online resource to better train for the deli? I just started & have had two different people show me two different ways to do things. I want to do a good job & don't want to get busted for not doing things according to company policy. The chicken fryer & rotis...
We have signs posted at store 928 in Bloomington that they will be seeking a 2 week in advance schedule in Jan of next year. Does this mean that bi weekly pay is inevitable? That's the current rumor mill atm.
Well next week in the deli at my store we have very few hours to work with. Other than the one full timer we got, I'm the only one with over 34 hours. This week we have 100 less hours than the same week last year though sales are up 25%. All this after our asst. dept. manager transferred to another store fre...
Is there even such a thing, or is it just a myth I'm hearing? Can you actually negotiate yourself a better pay with getting a promotion to a different department, or is it all just done on a flat scale of when you start and how many hours you work in that position?
Hey y'all I was just wondering if you were full time or not, currently in my fuel center there are 7 of us no full time and I'm the lead. Is this a normal thing?
So I'm guessing your black and a male? If you want promoted work for it. The company has a a lot to offer you just need to put in the work. I started as a bagger when I was 15 and now I'm in charge of my own department, and I'm only 23.
I am a new hire in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I was so happy to have been given a job I failed to ask what the dress code is. Can anyone tell me before my 30% off coupon expires tomorrow at Khol's. Please and thank yu
I just got hired at Ralph's as a courtesy clerk and I have my orientation soon. Can some one please explain how much money the union takes and if it's worth to join. I'm only 16 and I don't plan on working here for more then 2 years.
I want to get a night time job because Kroger doesn't pay me enough. I cant think of any places to apply. I cant apply at giant eagle or Walmart because they are considered competitors. I would prefer a 3rd shift stocking job because I don't like dealing with a lot of customers. fast food is a definite no...
So my gross was $346, net $251. Took a look at my paystub, saw damn near $17 in union fees? Now, the only thing I can think of for the reason is my vacation week, but I didn't work that week, and union dues came out of my vacation check. Is this odd, should I mention it to the HR person, or is there a special fee th...
Ok, I am a bagger And it seems as of late, the checkers seem irritated with me. The reason being is that I let them clean their own checkstands from trash. I'll restock if necessary, but cleaning their own checkstands I let them do. I stopped doing it for them because they ALWAYS left it a mess and called m...
