I'm a floor supervisor looking to move up. The next step would be ACSM. I was wondering if two supervisors from one store could be put in the backup program at the same time? Also when does the next program start? (Southwest Division btw)
Hey all so I've had my first day of in-store training, but the one thing that always threw me off is how to accept and process a transaction payed for by check. If you guys could give me the step by step instructions for that It'd be much appreciated!

I just got hired and I already want to quit. How do I go about it? Is there something I select online? I don't want to give a 2-week notice, I would like to quit as soon as possible. However, if it is absolutely mandatory I will. I read all over the place "don't burn bridges" but honestly, I'm neve...
So I'm a new hire and one thing that tripped me up was a customer who brought over two rain checks with her order. I scanned all her items except for the ones related to the rain check. The first raincheck was for paper plates and said Buy One Get One Free. The other was for some stuffing and said the price was...
So I don't know if it's a new policy that's being enforced all over or if it's just in my area (I know it's not just my store), but yeah, front end supervisors are no longer allowed to check. If it gets busy, they are required to call other departments to come up and surge check rather than get on themselves....
(same situation as misplaced post) Started at small/medium store, now at large store - no one here works in different departments, I've seen 2 front end people work in drug/gm and that's it. Sometimes produce people will have a register shift, but still not much. At the other store, front end people w...
Hi everybody, I'm supposed to go in for training tomorrow but don't know at what time. Both of my managers are gone for today. I called the help desk, got transferred several times, and then got hung up on. I know that the training time varies for each situation, and you all probably won't be able to te...
Around 4 weeks ago, I applied to kroger. They said they would call me in a week, but they didn't. After two weeks passed, i call them to see what was wrong, and they said "oh, we're ready for you. we have everything ready, we're just waiting for ___ to call you. She'll call you on monday." Monday...
A couple of the most predominate questions are: When a customer comes up with a name brand item and says we were out of the store brand how do I ring up that item with the correct price? How to do WICs? General tips/tricks? I know this should have been covered by a trainer, but all my store did was throw me o...
WOW do a lot of the Kroger co managers around my town seem.........well, I'll list my observations: 1. STRESSED. I mean, red faced looks like a massive heart attack is imminent. 2. Creepy quiet and withdrawn......absolutely will NOT make eye contact, and seem always on the verge of telling you to fk y...
I work on the front end, and our store recently got a new CSM. Our old CSM had her faults - we all do of course - but she was, on the whole, sweet and very laid-back. She didn't really enforce rules more than the bare minimum. For example, a couple times I had walked in 10-15 minutes late with no notice, said so...
I've worked here about 6 months now, and I've had maybe one encounter with the SM, a few with an asshat co-manager who would always complain about how I haven't changed the garbage bins when they're half full and its a busy morning (not to mention the person closing should've done it). As well as he'd jus...
At my first store, which was not too small but definitely not very big, misplaced was at USCAN and mostly (mostly) confined to baskets on a rack, with some of it ending up on top of the rack and on horrible days, in carts next to the rack. This is kind of out of the customers' way, tucked into a corner. Courte...
Can anyone list the steps for printing signs for display endcaps? The file coordinators usually do it but they are off on the weekends and sometimes i like to change out the endcaps early or i'll change them to burn thru some backstock. Thanks.
I just got my open enrollment packet for health insurance. However the only option for me is Part-Time HMO Kaiser. I am Full-time as of May 16, 2015. Who do I need to talk to about getting the Full-Time PPO Blue Cross/ Blue Shield? Another unrelated question, I've been told I have to wait 6 months after...
