One of the supervisors on Sunday asked me if I could work next Monday (I'm normally unavailable). They kind of forced me into saying yes - I said no at first a few times but they kept insisting and getting more pushy so finally I said I would. I thought that was the end of it and they would write the schedule w...
So i just got my paycheck and its my 3rd one, unfortunately i didnt write down the hours i worked and i was called in several times that pay week, i felt like i worked over 40 hours, at least 35. But i was only paid for 21, is there some way i could check the exact times i worked for that pay week so that i can make s...
As a junior in uni in a STEM major, I don't really have the time or energy to spend 30 hours a week tooling around at Kroger and getting yelled at by dickhead managers and entitled customers. I'm thinking about putting in a leave of absence -- anyone have experience with doing this? I'm going to talk to my H...
I'm a bagger and I just started working here (almost 2 weeks), bagging and clearing the parking lot is the only thing they've shown me how to do, so when I get shifts that end at late hours I don't know what to do. So yeah, I just clock out and leave without saying anything. I've done it quite a few times now bu...
I was supposed to be a grocery manager but due to a couple of co-managers telling the store mgr i wasn't right for it, the store mgr decided to give me a two week period to prove i can. I feel like i am ready for it and have been a back up for a year, but, I am open to whatever knowledge or wisdom any grocery mgr's o...
What is Key Retailing according to Kroger? What does CAO stand for? What does BOH stand for? What is Shelf Ready Packaging, and how is it labeled? On what products should box cutters not be used? What is a weekly department planner? What does Conditioning mean? Please list what conditioning looks lik...
I don't remember using Bams last year though I am sure I did since it's been around for a while. Does anyone know what the userid is suppose to be? There's no where to make one and I have tried my EUID but it just says id does not exist. I remember reading something a while back about it being your SSN or birth d...
I work as a utility clerk and my manager is scheduling outside my availability due to school being out on that day. Does the Union protect me from this? Is there anything I can do or do I just have to accept that my availability is laughable to my manager?
So... I ****ed up realllllllllllllly bad :( Apparently, we're not allowed to use the 'customer care' coupons anymore... fair enough. But when I was told, they said '-if you use it, you have to record it on this form. And it has to be approved by a manager....'. I thought that meant we COULD use it, but th...
Have any of your contracts been opened up and put to a vote to increase wages for new hires recently? Apparently this is something the company wants to do in order to be able to hire people. Kroger didn't want to give grandfathered employees an increase, but were forced to by the union.
The fact that so few people in my store know how to make signs has started becoming a problem. Only a few of us in pricing, as well as a few other people here and there in meat, produce, floral, and nutrition know how to make them. The problem is that when specials go on or off on the weekend, we get pulled from...
Well I never thought that I would ever see this day come. I got called in for a job interview a few weeks ago, and got a call yesterday with a job offer. Its a great full time job Monday-Friday only, they offer me a much higher pay than Kroger, and great benefits. That means that I will be stopping by today at K...
What is that tone I hear when the cashier swipes my Kroger's Plus Shoppers Card? I have had my card swiped a thousand times but recently I hear a tone when it is swiped and I have asked the cashiers what it is but have not received an answer.
There is this song I can't get out of my head. I don't ever really understand what he's saying? Lol it's something like "like something? In the night..fly awaaay? Lol help?
Okay, I've been working for Kroger for about a little over a week, not including training. I received my first paycheck this past Friday. I'm seriously interested in investing, and becoming a shareholder but I have not the slightest idea on how to go about in doing so. Anyone know how I start it? Or with...
A few weeks ago, I covered a week's worth of work for a night shift regular that was on vacation. Night shift was okay, and $40 extra bucks was nice, but it ruined my daytime life and I would never want to do it regularly. The week after was my first vacation for making it a year with the company (yay!). Troub...
