Ok so, it's my 2nd day on working at the Deli, and it was just me and this other girl, she worked there for a while, so I figured she knows what to do. It's 10pm, and we have to leave, but there are 3 slicers that aren't clean yet, I asked her, "what do we do with them? Do we just stay a little longer to clean t...
Our FE lead is doing "performance evaluations" of every employee in her department. I've heard that one of our CSR's (in my opinion, a rather good one too, very few dips when she works) got dressed down for a good half-hour, with a highly negative evaluation (the two have constant personal...
This is my first job as an overnight stocker. I've been on the job for around 2 weeks and was cheaply trained. Anywho no one EVER told me how to use the cardboard baler compactor thing . Does Kroger have an employee-employer mediation program, apart from the union, where former or present employees can work out disputes? Also, what jobs in the store are not considered covered by the union? I ask because certain states seem to have even non-union employees covered by union contrac...
Or does the store close early? I hate the online requests, because before you could request something like "I can't work past ___ on this day," but with the online request form you have to request the day off and then put down what hours you're available for. Most of the time in my store they ju...

I've been working overnight full time for kroger for at least 5 years. On my last pay stub it showed that I got paid a night preimum for just 1 hour for the week and for the whole year so far. This whole time I just assumed and took for granted that I was getting paid It. So, I went on HR express and combed throug...
I had four days of approved time off/paid vacation last week, and I didn't receive the vacation pay today (Thurs). Does vacation pay take longer than normal work pay to be posted?
So I'm givig my manager 2 week notice next week. I've heard of managers who automatically knock you off schedule when you give the notice. How often does this occur?
I just recently got off of the probation period. I'm being raped by union dues, I'm paying like $30-40 to union these past few checks. My checks are going from barely survivable to extinction. How much longer will the union sodomize my checks??? I was told I'll only pay $10 a week... The deductions are l...

A vacation/Cruise planned since January was declined on GreatPeople.me. I'll be honest, this Cruise matters more to me than this job as a Courtesy Clerk. What do you do in these instances of being declined of time off?
A woman called and said our people in the bakery needed to be trained better on how to cut cakes. She bought a cake-for-two and one piece was fat and the other was skinny. Didn't she notice that when she picked it up? I suggested maybe she should take the top half of each one and switch them. That way sh...
Which Departments Have Paid Back-Up Lead Positions? Does this vary across regions and districts? Do any dairy departments have paid back-up leads, i.e., official number twos with higher pay?
I thought the customer was always right anyway. It is hard to please customer management and keep your sanity at the same time. Another reason to be wrong because the employee will strain to make it right even when its wrong. why is it so hard to please some of the customers all the time and all of custome...
I try to block out most of the noise that filters through our speakers during my shift, and I'm usually successful at most of it, but every time I hear that STUPID crowd cheering commercial, it sounds like a 1980s Atari game. Or maybe one you would find in a bar somewhere.
