Greetings fellow mutants! We all know how we're supposed to be customer focused, and get that almighty OSAT score up, and all that... BUT Is it just me, or doesn't it just chaffe your arse when a customer just walks up and starts asking for the location of something? No "Hi there" or "...
Thinking of switching departments (from front end) and I just wanted to know what you guys think about the departments. Please tell me what you think of yours in terms of: Pay Hours Full Time Feasibility Physical Difficulty Mental Difficulty Common Tasks Average Time Spent on a Register Your overa...
So it's come to my attention that whenever anybody works lot duty at my store, they think it is essentially a break. I'm not trying to tell anyone how to live, but I think that you should be able to get at least 6 carts in our lobby within 5 minutes. If you take 10 ****ing minutes to bring in 3 carts, put the dam...
So, my store prints out the feedback that customers give on the surveys and puts it in the break room. I was reading one the other day and I was mentioned in one of the comments. The customer commented that Kroger needs to train cashiers on how to count money or only hire those who can count money quickly an...
I'm getting sick of my job at Kroger. I don't really need the money right now and with the stress of college and working over 30 hours a week I'm constantly in a bad mood or exhausted. I'm also incredibly pissed off because I was scheduled two days off this weekend. However, my manager decided that they ne...
So I was taking a late lunch yesterday (worked a 5-2 but took my lunch at 10:45 Due to unforeseen problems with a no show. No problem... OT right?? WRONG!! Not even 15 min into my lunch I got called up front to sack. Ignored. Next it was lot duty. Ignored. So our ASM comes tearing back there like a bat out of he...
This is what they say my rate is. My 3rd shift $1.00 premium does not show up here. They have me classified as a Cashier/Clerk. I started 3rd shift Grocery Stock. I haven't been trained to be a Front End Cashier yet while my job is supposed to be listed as 3rd Shift Stock/Cashier.. Last time I worked at Krog...
I know we get 10% and everything, but on average how long does it take for new hires to get it? Its been about three weeks since start date, and it has still remained elusive. Is that standard, or do I need to go talk to someone about getting it to start working. Only asking since it will actually save some do...
I am growing very concerned.. hopefully I can sort this out. The first year I got 24 hrs of vacation, I actually just had 16 remaining and I used them for California a few weeks ago. After my 2nd anniversary working for fred meyer, I saw that I have now 72 hrs of vacation total. Is that normal to give 72 hrs o...
So, I've been scheduled as a courtesy clerk since school started on September 2nd. Most of our clerks are in high school so we're short Monday-Friday during the day. I've been on the schedule as a clerk for the last three weeks. This week will be week 4. However, they do put me on a register when we're back...
So I worked til 11 pm yesterday in the produce department. Trucks usually don't arrive til 3 or 4 in the morning and 3rd shift grocery unloads them for us. Well, at 10:30, they came over the speaker and said "Produce: Delivery at the back dock." Walked back with the other person working with m...
I was interviewed at Fred meyer on Monday. Interview went well and i took the drug test and said they'll do a background check. How long it would take for my background check to be back at Fred meyer, my personal records are clean and i dont smoke or do drugs. Tomorrow will be Monday, almost a week after my i...
I will be a 3rd Shift Grocery Stocker with $ 7.95 plus a $ 1.00 more for working 3rd shift. So a customer had a few rain checks and when I was finished the rain checks I put them aside to check out the rest of her items. She asked for the rain checks back but I told her I'm suppose to keep them to put in my till (or under, whatever). She says then she wants to void off all the rain check items so she can ju...
I have been with Kroger for three weeks. I applied and was hired with the understanding that I have a primary full time job and this would be a secondary part time job. Administrative Manager said they totally understood and that they should be able to work with my schedule. First week, I received 10 hou...
I'm just applied for a produce position and am wondering what kind of questions might be asked and what some key points fro produce might be its for Fred Meyer if that makes a difference but I'm pretty sure the key retailing and other such programs are universal between the stores
So now, in our division, the markdowns have to be put in the little corner "manager specials" section. Annoying. For one they are losing money and 2 on those crazy days where you are lucky to have just gotten it done...then have to tromp it over to the other end of the store....argh.
