Let me get this out of the way first: I love Kroger. I think the prices are pretty damn good, the products (with the exception of Simple Truth, and some of the service deli in my specific store) are good, and almost all of my coworkers are awesome, fantastic people I'm glad to have met. But some of the ones w...
So I have been with Front End as a courtesy clerk (effing HATE the term "bagger") for seven months. Yesterday (Saturday) I went in 30 minutes late because I was thinking I had to be there at 3:45 rather than the 3:15 I was scheduled. I got there and went to the customer service desk. Our Front En...

We got new name tags. They have our names in big bold letters. Our old ones had, "Serving you since..." on them. These new ones don't because they dont want the new people to be intimidated when they see how long how other people have worked there. I say bull$hit. I've worked there over 2...
If they put a '5', then we get 100% If they put a '4', then we get 0% or so it seems. And every company is like that, no matter the rating scale. Even if they 'never give out perfect scores', 4's still mess everything up. Shouldn't the customers know?
So I used the time sheet today to clock in, but I mistakenly used the electronic machine when I was trying to clock out instead of the time sheet. What should I do?
So today one of the co-managers told our deli assistant manager that too many people have Tuesday off. And that one of us scheduled off will have to work that evening. Well I needed off because my dad has to have eye surgery and sure as hell can't drive, and another girl in the department has to take her k...
I have worked at Kroger since I graduated high school in 1993. I have been a bagger alot of this time. I was asked the other day if I wanted to transfer to another department. Either Produce or Stock Crew. I have helped out both areas more than a few times over the years. Which area would be better. I live w...
I can't f***** stand it when stupid c*nt customers don't know how to shop. DON'T be quick to grab something from a shelf if you KNOW you're gonna end up plugging it into another spot in the aisle or in the store where it doesn't belong when you spot another item that you think you want instead. WALK THROUGH...
I work in Drug/GM as the asst.dept head and our cosmetitian who has worked here for about 5 years now, has been stealing candy (for atleast the past year, that we know of). She will just go and grab a big bar of kit kats, reeses, or even makes her way to the bakery for a box of donuts and even some pringles occ...
My first day was supposed to be Monday. I completed all the CBL/training stuff like two days ago, and was told I wouldn't have a first day till then. Only today I get called in "Oh can you come in for some hours towards the end of the night". Normally with most jobs its not a problem since it usual...
Anyone else given a card with a bunch of "Associate Talking Points" on it, and told to memorize it all over night? I never imagined I would have to do homework for this job... I always zone it out and forget about it as soon as I leave the store.
